At least it's better than Anton DNF.

With that slighty interesting bit where he contends for the most epic mountain stages, getting huge media exposure and living up the true spirit of the team, regardless of what the stupid transfers/UCI system may oblige them to do.Pentacycle said:Well, at least he'll get them some extra 10th spots in GC in the Vuelta or Giro, but that's about it.

Don't mess with the Volta. It was a very respectable race once upon a timeThe Hitch said:That would be great, but what the hell is Peter going to do at CCC? Go for the Volta Portugal?

Are there any more signings foreseeable ? Or is the roster complete ?
the asian said:Good choice by him. With Samu turning 35 next year and Anton spending more time off the bike than on it, Nieve could be Euskaltel's main GC man for the next 3 years.
I agree if you take GC man in a strict way. But the funny side is that he still has more GT placings than Anton.Ryo Hazuki said:lol. nieve has never been a gc man and never will be

Ryo Hazuki said:I don't see anton as a gc man either. maybe someone like landa, ion izagirre or sicard have a shot. theyare more allround although not of the level of samu
gustienordic said:Also, does anyone know why Coquard is going to Euc? I thought he would go to FDJ for sure. Sure FDJ is already loaded with young French sprinters, but they seem to develop nicely there.
Libertine Seguros said:Europcar's based in the Vendée, Coquard's from Loire-Atlantique, so it's just down the road for him (and better opportunities than Brétagne-Schuller, the other local team, would be).
Also, at FDJ he'd have to fight for opportunities with Demare, Bouhanni and even Soupe. At Europcar, he's got more chance of taking a lead role.
gustienordic said:Sicard I don't think has anything... its been too long with zero results to expect much out of him.
