Next year he should just focus on Pais Vasco and the Ardennes, and then work towards the Vuelta. Those two month peak don't work for every rider.

he should not ride any gt until the vuelta and indeed only do bit of classics work. then he should be as fresh as cancellara or better yet horner. I hope sky learn from their mistakes

Cyclingfever.com has Vandewalle going to Trek confirmed???????

"Yesterday it was reported that Vandewalle had signed with Trek. However at the World Championships Vandewalle rectified, that he will be riding for Sky next season"

Source: http://06.live-radsport.ch/details_3601/ProTour_Teams__News.html

Also, Anders Lund (Saxo) retires to focus on studies. He also said that he believes to have achieved all he can with his talent. He was always a bit of a nondescript rider, never really stood out. Had fantastic results as a junior and U23 but never made it with the pros for some reason

De Gendt says he'll stop with cycling if he doesn't get a contract with WT team, he says he can't do anything at the many one day races when he signs for a pro conti team...

The guy is a bit of a character, but come on, he can be useful for pretty much every team out there. Someone sign him.

No chance. If Porte's doing the Giro, he should be The Dawg's ***** in July.

I think it depends on the Giro

If Porte win the Giro than Sky may want to risk and go for a 3 GT win with Froome and Henao

If Porte fails at the Giro than i think Henao and Porte will do the tour as Sky won't afford to fail at TdF

i maybe wrong but that's how i would do.

Very soon an euskaltel rider will not sign for a team.

Yes, that is very likely that happens as well, not just one, I know more than one in that case.

What I said was very talked in the past, before Alonsom but it wanst anything really, it was more probably another team... but today yes... it is not official, so that way I cant say, sorry, maybe tomorrow will be published.

Most likely it was a personal request from Rui Costa to have another portuguese rider on the team and Oliveira is a fairly talented rider who has been performing much below what was expected of him so he must have been a bargain.

Hopefully he will stop focusing on losing weight to improve his climbing and will just focus on his itt which is what he is good at.

That makes me wonder, did he pull yesterday's performance while underweight?

Because I can't lie, I'm not much of a fan of one-trick ponies.

Rai's Beppe Conti said tonight that in case of victory this sunday, Sagan got a huge paycheck from a team which would not possible to refuse, even despite his actual contract.
No word on the team but BMC was linked to Sagan from very long.

BMC are such a pathetic team. Buying world champions, ugh.

Also Lampre having the Portuguese connection probably made it fairly easy, especially with the loss of the ISD money and therefore the loss of most of the Ukrainian riders.
