Interesting. Isn't Langeveld leaving Greenedge because they said they weren't going to strengthen their classics squad?

I think Hayman was signed more as a replacement than an addition. Langeveld will probably move in the opposite direction.

Matt Hayman joins GreenEdge: http://greenedgecycling.com/news/mathew-hayman-joins-orica-greenedge-in-2014

Good signing for their classics squad. He was Sky's best cobbles rider in my opinion despite the EBH, Thomas, Stannard hype.

Possibly Eisel?

I think it's a good signing. Solid domestique and cobble classics rider. Give Durbridge and Docker a year or 2 and actually train on cobbles you may be looking at a really strong cobbles team.

Also Hepburn, he packs more of a sprint.
Matthews could be good too- in a Hushovd/ Sagan mould too.

I'm happy that Hayman has joined/ would love for him to ride the TDF as a debutant. My only sadness is that he did not join earlier.

Chavanel to IAM is quite a surprise to me. Looks like they want to be a force in the classics.

Chavanel to attack and win and Haussler to wait for a sprint if there is one. Not a bad combination.

Hayman for Langeveld is a downgrade. And yeah, Durbridge might eventually come good, but that's in a few years time.

Chavanel is joined by Mathias Frank (no surprise), Jérome Pineau, Roger Kluge and Vicente Reynes.

Frank and Chava are great, the rest, meh.

Kluge is a decent sprinter and decent domestique on cobbles ( 33rd Paris Roubaix this year ).

Pineau is a great workhorse, on flats and hills, was essential to Cav ( he request him for the Tour team after the Giro ) - so he's still useful.

Reynes is very meh though.

Seems they will be staying in PCT for one more season. Which is good for them I think, rushing into WT too fast is not best option.

According to Eurosport France it will be a 2 year contract with 3M € a year.

EDIT: the 6M € is for the team budget  Sorry.

RTP1 just confirmed on the news that Rui Costa won't continue at Movistar.

BMC, Astana and Lampre were mentioned to be on the run.

Who are they on the run from, have they done a bank robbery?:D
