It is now official. Aussie Baden Cooke (Orica) retires. CyclingNews speculated at the end of October, but now it is confirmed.

He won the Green Joursey at the Tour in 2003 + over 50 pro races. Young by Papa standerds at 35!

Sounds like much of that is stuff they pulled out of their asses. "The Movistar team is likely to keep an eye on his progress," what does that even mean? Are they just guessing?

Indurain senior rode with the team when it was Reynolds, so maybe their assuming that the current set up would want to have Indurain junior as well, and would have a step up on other team due to Indurain riding with Reynolds.

I'm sure there are probably a number of teams keeping on eye on him just because he is the son of Indurain though.
