Sagan is all but certain to ride for Tinkoff in 2015, Greenedge wants either Evans or Porte and Matthews & Gerrans are out of contract.

I don't believe they want either of them. I remember you last year always posting wrong info about greenedge when I alreayd lasts ummer said chaves would go there and you never heard of it. I don't know your sources but I wouldn't believe them.

While most may laugh, Cofidis has a HUGE budget. They just waste it a lot.

Although made right steps with Senechal sigining. I could see this happeing.

pretty much all french teams have huge budgets, you wouldn't believe the budget fdjeux have for instance, however especially cofidis is the worst mismanaged rteam in history of cycling, worse even than rabo/belkin. this year they are sloooooowly improving a bit afetr firing boyer(last year) and many others.

If Cofidis are trying to sign Bouhanni does this mean they plan to become WT team again? They've had pretty good results in this year and are leading Europe Tour rankings. Also Taaramae said to Estonian media that he wants to ride for WT team.next year. His contract with Cofidis ends in this year.

Any rumours about Garmin? Somebody joining or leaving?

Y'know, it's interesting. To go by ProCyclingStats, Garmin joins the troubled Giant-Shimano in being the only two current World Tour teams that don't have any riders listed as being on the 2015 roster. I don't know where the editors of that site get their info, but they usually seem pretty on top of things. Can Garmin really not have anybody under contract for next year at all? Nobody signed to multi-year deals previously?

I believe French teams have to pay some tax over rider's salaries, whereas in other countries they can ride as freelancers. Therefore they need a higher budget for the same quality of riders.

Hesjedal and Danielson have deals for 2015 from what I know.

And Slagter: http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/15187/Two-year-deal-for-Tom-Jelte-Slagter-with-Garmin-Sharp.aspx

But he would still be behind Boonen, who is signed through 2015. And after his victory in Roubaix he could demand a leadership-role for the cobbles - which OPQS won't give him. It is not certain he stays. I would love to see him riding for Quickstep a few more years, but who knows. IF he decides to lead a smaller team (like Chavanel), they could need a guy like Thomas. ;)

I don't know if they would need a rider like Thomas for the Classics- Stijn, GVK, Zydnek will keep on improving and the rest of their squad is great. Sure they might want another really strong rider but logically if Boonen gets back to form having Stybar as the only foil should be fine.

French team for a top up and coming French sprinter, no more conflicts with the other top french sprinter Demare, team dedicated to him, invite to the Tour each year pretty much a sure thing.

Sounds like it could be a good fit, they might want to look at signing some other guys as a leadouts for him.

Petit should be good as a leadout for him :) but he'll probably want some other riders- Chavanel, Fischer...

Seems this unlucky year could be worth a lot more for him in the future. If Giant does not want him there could be a huge bidding-war between almost every french team, which will benefit him (and his bank-account). :p

I doubt that would be a smart thing to do, rather the opposite actually. One of the main reasons why he won in Roubaix is.. because he was behind Boonen. As an outsider in cobbled races, being on the strongest team behind a leader is the best situation to be in, just ask Devolder or Chavanel.
Yes, that's what Sporza made of it... but if you look at the actual race, Boonen attacked and nobody cared. Then he got dropped in the final, Terpstra rode him back to the front group, and found some energy to attack a few moments later.

If Terpstra won thanks to a teammate, it's more thanks to Stybar, who didn't work in the front group when they were away with the strongest riders in the race.

Barguil better not go to a French team, less pressure, less interviews..

after the Wiggo-Sky problem. Team Sky should have a few $$$ left for Barguil for 2015

And why do you think Stybar didn't work in the front group in the first place? Exactly ;)

Regarding Terpstra, he should at how Chavanel in the classics without Quickstep. He has good chances there, Boonen is getting older and Quickstep staff and riders have more know how for the cobbles than any other team in the world.

Does anybody know if Rohan Dennis is under contract for 2015? He would be a good replacement for Thomas for the shorter stage races.

Because Terpstra was chasing him :)

With Wuyts it's Boonen, Boonen, Boonen, but the reality was that nobody really cared about Boonen in that race.

"I'd be thinking of the guys there, not just the team. But GreenEdge is a good group. BMC, Quick Step. You know, that sort of team. A good atmosphere, and well-run" is what Thomas said himself in CS last month
"BMC" and "well-run"... an oxymoron if there ever was one.

Porte is signed with Sky until 2016 and I can't see Evans leaving BMC at this stage of his career. GE have spoken to Wiggins only informally no negotiations. GE are looking for GC rider but not many good ones on the market I don't think except the younger riders. I heard a rumour about Kelderman and GE but I doubt that one as well, I think GE were trying to get Rui Costa then he signed with Lampre. Hopefully GE don't sign someone who is over the hill. That is pointless. Why build a team around someone who has no hope of making the podium ?

Lol, that's nonsense and you know it.
