Yay! Finally he gets to go to a bigger team.

This guy's been getting good results since he was 19 already. About time imo that a team picks him up.

and people overestimate journalist too.most of us here have the same or better informations and knowledge about cycling than journous.of course there are exceptions,but these days most of them are crap

True, they have to have sources and possibly have less knowledge then some of the guys here. The difference is: there are more or less accountable to what they write, thats why I put more trust in their words (especially if its EBH making close to 2 million versus making 300k) than the ones on this forum.

Regarding EBH's salary.

EBH signed his contract with Sky in 2011 after winning two stages in the TdF, Vattenfall Cyclassics and the Eneco Tour including one stage win. His market was quite high at the time - as opposed to now. So probably closer to 2 million than 300k I would guess.

Losing EBH's deal gives Sky about an extra 2 mil to throw at guys like Poels, Roche and considering Brailsford wants to win two GT's in a year the likes of Morabito could be worth a look.

I'd have thought IAM Cycling will be very keen to sign Morabito. It seems that BMC didn't even offer him a contract which I find very odd after a good Giro/Suisse. Cough *dodgy passport* Cough.

I'm not sure the latter point is valid, after all BMC did sign Sanchez, and I assume he was the big rider Saxo were looking at but didn't dare sign based on his bio passport.

He captained Alberto to the win at the 2011 Giro and 2012 Vuelta

It's good that they've managed to retain some of their biggest/most talented (Wilco, Vanmarcke, Hofland).

They're probably be able to look to some of the Cannondale riders that will be left out in the cold from the merger with Garmin.

Hopefully Gatto and/or Marcato. It seems also that Vansummeren is out of contract and because of the merger spots are scarce at Cannondale-Garmin he could be an addition for them.

Now they just need to sign a top tier sprinter. Goss should be available.

Seriously I think they have a good base team. Quite a few riders should be without contract as the season comes to a close, capture a couple without paying the ranch.
