Greenedge were after Viviani and Greipel does not currently have a deal for next year as far as I know.
Domulec said:Are there many riders leaving Sky aside from Porte? Signing five new riders, as CN reports, does seem to imply that. Given the strength of their current squad and the fact that Peters, Moscon, and to a lesser extent Geoghegan Hart won't deliver results immediately, it would seem that they will lose some firepower next year, although with an eye to the future that might be a calculated risk.

But Sky are signing two of the biggest talents out there in Landa and Kwiatkowski.
I get why Landa would go away from Astana considering the Giro and Aru and Nibali are prominent GC riders. But why go to a team that is filled with GC riders? Why not step a bit down on the money and go to a team that you are guaranted to lead and get good support?

What do you think of a possible move of Sergio (and his cousin too) to Etixx with Kwiatkowski going to Sky. The belgians are looking for more support to Urán and I believe that him and Sergio are good pals. With Contreras and Gaviria close to being signed they also have an important colombian squadron.

This hints at IAM getting Coquard as their main leader. But they just said they're losing his training partner Pineau. Hmmmm. Maybe they're actually going for Rolland?

Why? That's pretty much as good as it gets.rodanafrenteguigs said:latest news are talking about that Fulgsang re-sign with Astana for two more Years.
Im my opinion that horrible
MellowJohnny said:The Chavanel release is an odd one and sure he will take his buddy Pineau with him, I don't get it though, SC is such an all round rider, I AM must seriously have someone big lined up to replace him. I'd say Chavanel will go over to one of the French teams now.

They were almost certainly paying Chavanel a lot of money, by their standards. He's now 36 and has no results this year. Presumably he wants a last payday commensurate with his name and career results and thinks some team will be willing to provide him with on. While they want to spend that money on someone more likely to get wins next year.
Not only was he a better rider when they signed him, his prominence will have helped their wild card applications, something they don't need now.
I read that the other way around. Lefevere putting pressure on Uran to sign quickly if he wants any support in the mountains.TMP402 said:rodanafrenteguigs said:latest news are talking about that Fulgsang re-sign with Astana for two more Years.

Etixx are interested in him if Uran goes.
CyclingNews said:“Much depends on whether Rigoberto Uran stays in our team our not. I think Fuglsang already signed a new deal with Astana,” Lefevre said at the start in Abbéville.

“Kwiatkowski is likely signing with Sky,” his agent, Giuseppe Acquadro told Cycling Weekly.
If Landa improved further, he could lead the team in Grand Tours. “He wants a team where he can be the leader in the Giro and maybe the Vuelta a España,” his agent, Acquadro said. “And perhaps race the Tour to learn next to the stars.”
