there is 33% chance we will sign Cavendish. And 20% Roland, 10% Voeckler, 0% Landa and Kwiatkowski , they have been signed by SKY already )

Haha, imagine not only Contador and Sagan, but also Cav in the same team :D

Contador & Sagan are fine with one another- there is no conflict there- but Cav has no business in TS at all. I just cannot see a team that will take him at premium value when he seems to be fading...

Yeah, I think Cav's going to end up taking a pretty massive pay cut wherever he ends up.

Wouter Wippert is almost guaranteed to join Cannondale-Garmin for the 2016 season acording Wilerflits

That's very good- they need a sprinter who can get some wins to keep up morale. Now all that needs to occur in regards to the NRS is for Pat Bevin to get a WT contract too.

According to this report which comes from an Avanti team press release Bevin has had interest from a number of WT teams and is currently training with Tinkoff.

Nice, Bevin's a versatile rider with room to improve. He should be able to become a solid WT pro. Wouter Wippert has been at WT level for a while now, shame that Drapac is losing him but he's better than sharking Asian stage races.

Has there been any more word on Avanti stepping up to Pro Conti level? They've been turning out very solid riders for a while now - Porte, Haas, Earle, Will Clarke, Von Hoff, Campbell Flakemore, Brenton Jones, now Joe Cooper, Jack Haig and Pat Bevin.

They wouldn't be wasting their time if they can get a couple of good signings to bolster them (or their old riders back).

OGE's Marquee signing must be Juul-Jensen. They just confirmed he has signed. But then it was rumoured he would sign with them, so maybe not Marquee.

really good signing for orica/greenedge adding a bit of scandanavian flavour.

Hmm, a little bit odd to me, don't they have plenty of riders with his qualities already?

Did not see that Juul-Jensen signing coming at all. Unfortunately he'll still be stuck as a domestique but he should get a couple of opportunities to lead, especially if he wants to ride cobbles with Keukeleire. He will be good for the TTTs though.
Orica have now signed
Txurukka
Juul-Jensen
Power
Haig
Edmonson

On a similar Greenedge note, Gerrans has a contract to the end of 2017, so he's still got at least 2 more years in the peloton.

They said that they will look at him for the cobbles because at the moment they only really have Keukeleire. Plus they want him there for when they ride GC in a Grand Tour.

One thing's for sure; he's gonna fit right in with the humour of the team. :D
I can easily imagine him rocking out for one of the OGErocks videos.

Yeah I can't see someone with one pro win ever in four seasons being described as a "marquee" signing. I wonder if it's Nieve.

Rumours:

Trofimov to Tinkoff
Tronet and Coquard to AG2R
Chavanel to BSE (which by the way is becoming Fortuneo-Vital Concept in 2016)

I imagine Nieve, Gorka and Benat will form the core of Landa's mountains support at Sky.

Not to drag the clinic here, but:

"Vaughters launched a developmental cycling squad dedicated to ethical competition. That team has since evolved into Cannondale-Garmin. Early on, the team implemented a stringent doping policy that remains today. If a rider is caught doping, the whole team will be fired."

After today's news, that's a lot of riders on the market if Vaughters keeps his word.

JR Bernaudeau is applying for a WT licence. He's got four sponsors potentially interested (2 French, 1 British, 1 other), although no sure backing yet.

Coquard has turned down ag2r for now and all the main riders are waiting until the 15th to make a call. Another rider is in contact with Bernaudeau apparently and would make a significant impact if a sponsor is found.

Prudential? Virgin? Aberdeen Asset Management? Would a British sponsor insist on being a UK registered team?

No idea for now. Still very early days, and no guarantees he'll find anyone. Would be interesting to see what happens though if he does end up with a British sponsor.

Doubt Trofimov will go to Saxo. Katusha will want to have a Russian GT contender. He's not there yet but he has improved and Rodriguez probably has only 1 good year left.

Then again maybe Oleg wants a Russian to lead a GT.

I imagine the UK will have two world tour teams and they might make a raid on Team Wiggins.

There have been one or two British-registered teams without a British sponsor. Barloworld and wasn't a former incarnation of Southeast Pro Cycling also registed in Britain?

"Gregg's Cycling Team - Eat More Pies"

If Europcar goes all rosbif I will take it as a sign that the end of days is nigh.

Edit: tax and employment rules can make the UK a good place to register a team...
