Simon Clarke to Cannondale!

Their signings for 2016 are better, than I expected! Maybe they've managed to increase their budget somehow? I think their new riders will be earning more alltogether, than Martin and Hesjedal were.

Danielson was probably on pay that reflected his past centrality to the team, so there may be a fair bit of money saved there.

Is it just me or does Cannondale look a little...scattered for 2016?
Not really, just going through a major change of roster.

They're adding Rolland and Uran for GT's along with Craddock, Slagter (resigned), and Clarke as support. I see Clarke as a potential replacement for Gautier as an offsider for Rolland

Wippert in for sprints, with Bevin as support and sprinting in smaller races

Langeveld (resigned), Breschel, Van Baarle (resigned), and possibly Mullen and Bevin to boost their classics squad

This is probably the most improved WT squad as a whole, they certainly won't be relying on 3-4 riders for all their results anymore.

Clarke is not a bad signing and maybe he can get more opportunities to ride for himself whereas at OGE; he was further down the list of riders whose attributes were either similar or had significant cross-over (Gerrans, Albasini, Impey, to a degree Matthews). Arguably he was a better climber, albeit not to the level of being specialist, and maybe packing as strong a sprint.

This only appears to be a one year deal so it will be interesting how this will play out for him.
I think Clarke will replace Gautier as Rolland's partner in crime at GT's. He has a similar racing brain. Should also get a protected role in some of the hilly classics, he was underused at Orica in this respect.

Wow, the rumours of Vaughters not liking Italian riders look to be true. Looks like none of the old Liquigas riders will be there next year.

Only Moser will be there, I think.
No Formolo, one of the world's best under 23 climbers (only after superman)? Ridiculous from JV
Yeah. I think if he doesn't resign him, he could go to another team with Italians such as Trek or Tinkoff.

Woods is a good signing as well. Mountain support for Uran, Rolland, and Talansky and can go for his own results in smaller stage races and hilly one day races.
