There's still the possibility they just take over Cult Energy. Though, maybe that's not very likely. But it would mean they could work with an existing structure instead of creating a whole new team.

The question is whether Riis is even interested to run a team anymore. If he is, why didn't he simply took over the job from De Jongh.

Maybe he will only give his name to attract sponsorship in the end.
Lance Armstrong supports this idea :D

Anyways, the Lefevre has said JVDB to be on his list of GC guys he's concidering for the next year, not the only one though. (Implication, not the highest ranked either).

It's almost disrespectful for Lefevre to even hint he's considering JVDB; to hire him would be mad. He couldn't win anything even if the Skytrain were working for him, let alone unsupported at Etixx. Lefevre would be wasting a space in any WT team he picks unless he thinks a top 10s in week-long races where everyone else forgot to turn up is a good investment. Let JVDB support the Yates' or Porte or whatever.

He's Belgian. Julien Vermote has actually been pretty alright as a domestique this Tour, but I'm guessing Lefevere would like another Belgian in his TdF team, particularly one that can potentially get a result.

Mühlberger and Pöstlberger will join Bora-Argon as Stagiaires, maybe this isn't the right thread to talk about it but I'm too lazy to create one about this years Stagiaires.

Come on man,JVDB is not that bad.Ok he didn't lived to the expectations, but is a decent rider. He still finished this year Giro on 12th place. He doesn't need much support anyway.A new team might mean a new motivation for JVDB.

Mühlberger looks quite promising based on his PCS data.

It's rather quite curious to see Lefevre and VDB talking, a few years ago in Humo there were interiews where both said they weren't interested in each other (one as a rdier, other as a team). Lefevre said that he doesn't care about a rider finishing 5th or 6th in a GC, is not attractive for him... and VDB does exactly that every time...maybe he wants him for ht ITT qualities next year ?

He's won two ITTs in his life. One as a junior in 2001, and the nationals this year. I don't see it.

He does indeed. Postlberger is also no slouch: youngest ever Austrian RR champion, won the Ras in dominant fashion this year, has a number of other wins.

I'd bet on both getting pro contracts next year, probably with Bora. If not with them, some other team will give them a shot.

If JVDB can be hired on the wage of a good domestique and can be convinced to ride as one, he'd be a pretty useful signing.

Any truth that Sebastian Langeveld is to be joining team sky next season?
No. He resigned with Cannondale through 2017 something like 2 weeks ago. Contracts can be broken or bought out but I guess he wouldn't have signed a new one if he was heading to the other team.

ok, so Lotto-Jumbo has decided to sponsor the team after 2015 (the initial contract was for 2015-2016 with an OPTION for 2 more years)

Good spot, something on Instagram of him being 'teammates with Porte, so maybe that's his destination.

Not unless some sponsor ponies up a lot of money that Cannondale-Garmin don't currently have.
