Dan Martin looking more and more likely to leave Cannondale Garmin.

Shot in the Dark but maybe this is Oricas new marquee signing?

Plausible as it IS an English speaking team but it's quite clear by now that he is NOT a GT GC contender nor even a contender for any 1 week tour with a TT component. Any point mitigating against is that a number of the classics he targets are also those earmarked by existing OGE riders (Gerrans, Albasini (if he re-signs), to a degree Matthews & potentially the Yates twins).

The ethos fits perfectly, but I agree with Dirkprovin. Orica has several riders who are very similar in style to Danny Boy (the Yates brothers, Albasini) and Martin is certainly not the type to turn the Yates brothers into GC guys, which is where Orica seem to want to go next.

Etixx and Trek are rumoured. They both need a punchy climber. Etixx might be a better fit ethos-wise (Danny could remain a stage hunter and classics guy), but language-wise Trek might be an easier fit.

Outside bet: MTN

Sky seem to be ruled out :) :) (I am more keen that Dan does not go to Sky than I was for the Yates brothers to do the same and that decision has turned out to be very good).

To be honest, I would be very surprised by any other option.

hmmmm. TS didn't mention 2 year renewals.... not sure of their plans beyond 2016? hmmmm...
They didn't confirm the length of any of the renewals.

Yeah but come on, the constant references only to 2016... I admire anyone who honestly doesn't think there's anything going on with that.
It's about the 2016 roster. Sagan has a contract for 2017.

Agree, they didn't confirm the length. Which seemed a bit odd to me. I remember last year they were very vocal with their 2 year renewals, so this makes me wonder that these might be just one year. Maybe nothing major about this, but it did make me wonder.

Cross post ! :D Ah yes, you have a point there Flo, re them specifically announcing the 2016 roster. Still - why not state the length when they always have? I'm just a little curious.

Sagan's there thru 2017? I didn't realise that. Thought only 2 years from 2015.... well then, he's on a good deal!

The Tinkoff-Saxo riders that already have contracts for 2016 are, in alphabetical order: Ivan Basso (ITA), Daniele Bennati (ITA), Maciej Bodnar (POL), Pavel Brutt (RUS), Alberto Contador (ESP), Robert Kiserlovski (CRO), Roman Kreuziger (CZE), Rafal Majka (POL), Sergio Paulihno (POR), Michael Rogers (AUS), Ivan Rovny (RUS), Juraj Sagan (SVK), Peter Sagan (SVK) and Michael Valgren (DEN).

Renewed:

Jesper Hansen, Michael Kolar, Pawel Poljanski, Ivan Rovny, Nikolay Trusov and Jay McCarthy will all be a part of the team’s 2016 roster
Good to hear, especially McCarthy (local boy :D)

Been out the game a bit and have my lazy hat on. Has it been confirmed if Landa is definitely leaving Astana and if yes, any confirmed team? Or is that gong to be a post Vuelta announcement?

Cheers

Jens Mouris (Orica Greenedge) is rumored to go to Drapac

Ten Dam to help Talansky go for top 30 in next years Tour?

Seriously though, Ten Dam would have good possibilities to go for his own results on Cannondale with the way Talansky's been backsliding. I think it would be a good fit.

No, Ten Dam will teach Talansky how to waste all your energy in a pointless breakaway

Wippert rumoured to Cannondale Garmin, and Reichenbach rumoured to FDJ.

Reichenbach confirmed to FDJ. Some nice support for Pinot building up in the mountains. Now they need to ensure they are a little stronger in the first week.

What you guys think of Martin going to etixx? I don't think Allaphillipe will be too happy. Its not exactly a vote of confidence in him, more like a kick in the teeth really.
