Quite interesting rider. Can go uphill well when the climbing isn't too tough and has a good sprint on him.

Seems like a clear indication that while ONE will make it to proconti this year, NFTO won't. There will probably be more "raids" on the domestic Conti teams to come.

What events at world tour would they eant to go to? Tour of Poland with Biablocki and Domagalski? The belgian races seem logical as it has the closest WT races. Has a Pro-conti team ever gone through a year without an invitation to a WT event.

Britain could use fewer but stronger conti teams, ONE going up helps that process. For them to have three times as many teams as Spain is a nice fact but doesn't count for much unless they are meaningful racing units or conveyor belts for talent, and too often the British domestic scene seems to be very insular and just swap riders around rather than be a good advertisement for them move up to pro conti or WT with foreign teams.

I think ONE would presumably look for Pologne and maybe some lesser one-day races like Plouay or Vattenfall. Don't forget though that the ProConti status would mean they could go to .HC races outside Britain on the Europe Tour, so the likes of Dunkerque, de Panne, Turkey, Bayern Rundfahrt, Danmark Rundt, Norway, GP Fourmies, Österreich, the euthanized version of Paris-Bruxelles, S**********s, Luxembourg, maybe even a North American race or two. Especially if they target some of those that are at present drawing some weaker fields (Luxembourg and Bruxelles, for example, which are running at a level far below their historic prestige).

Two bits of news. Firstly R Feillu rumoured to Wanty.
Secondly, after all this talk today of British conti teams, a new one appears to be taking shape: We Are Wales, which was widely reported on earlier in the year, is in negotiations with twins Maxime and Mathieu Le Lavandier, Fabrice Seigneur and David Chopin, all of whom are from Brittany, where the team will be based. Seigneur was a stagiaire with BSE in 2013.
Especially with the team being based in Brittany, I would have seen more sense in making it a "celtic" cycling project rather than trying to tap into a Welsh scene, but having said that there are probably enough Welsh cyclists to make it work - Yanto Barker, Hugh Wilson, Rhys Lloyd, Dale Appleby, Scott Davies, Sam Harrison, Rob Partridge and of course the newly available Jon Mould - if they can attract them.
Owain Doull is also at conti level but one would think he would be moving up after RIo, having already received a contract offer with Europcar this time last year. Another Welshman, Ryan Mullen is of course moving to Garmin, while Thomas and Rowe are already at WT.

The British 'racing' scene is pretty sh!t after the demise of the Premier Calendar. The police want the races to be isolated to the boring crits where they can be closed off a lot easier.
Will be interesting to see what House's next move is. He's been there from the start.
