Mark Cavendish & Mark Renshaw too MTN-Qhubeka, so expect the has-been leadout train to be Farrar, Boasson Hagen, Renshaw and Cavendish.

And Goss leaving

so looking like Farrar, Boasson Hagen, Eisel, Renshaw and Cavendish.

i wonder if this is why Meintjes did a U-Turn and signed with lampre?

Three years ago teams would have been queuing up to sign cavendish at whatever cost, now he has to find another sponsor just to get the salary his asking for.

A good signing, nice to see him get the opportunity.

Pinot has come to the opinion that he wants non-French riders in his train, classics specialists for the flat, but also guys like Morabito on climbs.

Tyler Farrar as a leadout man? That should work out well. :D

Two rumours. Firstly Ballan is serious about 2016 and may join Unieuro Wilier Trevigiani for the rest of this season.

Secondly, some more on We Are Wales: the team will be 12 strong, of which there will be 3 Bretons, 4 British riders and the rest from Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Eastern Europe.

next year's anti crash bike..

Zubeldia and Voeckler extend, Simone Consonni (Colpack) and Mohoric rumoured to Lampre, Stephen Williams (?) in negotiations with We Are Wales, Cameron Wurf in talks to return to Cannondale... Vaughters is developing a habit of bringing fringe riders out of retirement.

According to A Bola, Silvestre is to leave Trek and is pondering on abandoning the sport.
Well he certainly never found his feet on WT but ending his career seems a bit harsh unless there are other issues we don't know about

Thanks for the info BigMac - was wondering about Silvestre for a while and had been searching for info online but found none. IMHO Trek have completely misused him, only as a domestique in races that barely suit him, and never as a stage hunter or classics rider. For example he was in the lead group at the recent GP de Fourmies and Brussels Cycling Classic, I think those are the kind of races that really suit him.

He probably has not had a very good experience at Trek, if you follow his Facebook he sometimes seemed a bit overwhelmed and like he was homesick a lot. But like trevim said, abandoning the sport seems harsh, he could go back to continental level for a while. There he would certainly kill it, like he did with Leopard CT, and then maybe give WT another shot in a few years if the opportunity should arise.

He don't want to race for the minimum wage like many Portuguese riders and he prefers to have some stability. I don't condemn him.
