Wow, the rumours of Vaughters not liking Italian riders look to be true. Looks like none of the old Liquigas riders will be there next year.

If they don't keep Formilo it will be a budget issue or his own preference to move. There is no possibility whatsoever that Vaughter or any other team boss just randomly decides they don't want that big a talent.

I kind of said that some time ago, that JV doesn't handle mergers in a good way and people thought I was harsh on JV.

Too good for the continental level, not good enough for the WT.
A frustrating level to be at, I'm sure.
He should be perfect for ProConti then surely :D

Smartass ;)

Radsport, states that Cavendish will get Eisel(SKY) and Renshaw(ETIXX) with him to Dimension Data.

Renshaw too? Hadn't heard that part anywhere. Interesting.
Also, odd of you to have an anti-doping logo as your avatar.

The dice has been rolled,
Max Richeze to Etixx ( according to radsport)

To lead out who?

Definitely Gaviria. Lefevere confirmed the signing on the Cycling news podcast. He said he liked what he'd heard about Richeze and they both speak the same language so he thinks him and Gaviria can form a good partnership.

Lefevere also said his budget for 2016 and 2017 was significantly lower than what he had for previous years.

Do you know what ONCE is? Not the team, the sponsor. :)

The David Nugent of professional cycling.

Darren Huckerby was the one on my mind while making the post, actually.

Mikel Landa has his Super Dom:

They're coming thick & fast! Welcome @ benatintxausti as signing # 5! Reactionhttp: // po.st/Intxausti # TeamSky2016
He will have both Nieve and Intxausti for the Giro, I think.

Yeah I imagine the team will quite similar to one Porte had this year with one or two changes.

Yeah, maybe they will take Lopez next year. I believe he was taken out at the last moment because Porte requested that Eisel would be there.

Like I said same team but for Konig, Eisel and Seb Henao sub in Intxausti, Golas & Lopez.

It's daft to be talking about full team line-ups for next year, not just in this thread but in any thread. Loads of things change (form, illness, injury etc). It's ok to make a general assumption that the Spanish speakers will likely go with Landa to the Giro and that English speakers will follow Froome to the Tour but beyond that it's just pointless speculation. Why for instance would Golas just rather randomly be included in the Giro squad when a) He tends to follow Kwiatkowski everywhere and b) To the best of my knowledge he doesn't speak Spanish. Logically Konig will ride the Giro again as back-up to Landa considering Thomas will likely be back-up GC rider at the Tour.

In other news, Matt White has said Orica are looking for a climbing domestique to help Chaves and the Yates brothers. Igor Anton could be a possibility. I haven't seen him linked with anyone yet. There's also a Basque link with Neil Stephens.

Nice. Lampre is building a nice little Slovenian group right there. Roglic is next :D

While it's a fact his first try in WT was a fail, he was young, he is a better rider now and I'm sure he'll do better this time around.

And yet it continues..... Sky sky sky
Come on people, please discuss lineups on whatever sky thread there is or even the grand tour threads that am sure are knocking about.
Sure we can't discuss anything clinic related on this section but moderators any chance of maybe asking nicely if these skybots could discuss team selections for next year in another thread....?

In other thread related news... (Hope I don't get warned again for sarcasm)
Jonathan Lastra has signed for caja rural

I was thinking about Anton and that he would be a perfect fit with Murias Taldea. Since he's Basque and since Murias are looking to step up to ProConti level and Anton would be perfect for the youngsters on the team to learn from an experienced guy like Anton.

Ángel Madrazo?

Maybe, if they're on an extremely tight budget (which they probably are).
