In a way his tale is a more tragic one than EBH's: he goes from beating Greipel at the 2010 TDU and Kittel, Degenkolb and Farrar at the 2011 Vuelta and Greipel and Farrar at 2011 KBK, to taking fairly ineffectual pulls at the Tour de Yorkshire. I wondered if he got complacent since he's related to Shane Sutton, but clearly he didn't have a job for life.
Edit 1: Also it's kind of a historic moment: Sutton took Sky's first pro win, the aforementioned TDU stage in 2010. (although Greg Henderson won the pre-TDU charity criterium thing).
Edit 2: with Earle and Porte going too, Sky now have no Australians!
