Kerrison has a ton of speed, but this year he couldn't even get to the finish of flat stages. He had one single top 10 all season (a 9th place).
What usually happens with guys like that is that they have to lose so much weight and trade so much speed for stamina just to get to the finish in any condition to sprint, that they end up not being particularly good sprinters as pros.
