Though not in the top drawer of domestiques, I reckon Malacarne would be very handy signing for most WT-teams, especially Bahrain/TJ Sports plus a coup for the upper-level pro-contis.

MIght be that none of the forthcoming offers could match his terms at Astana, but makes me wonder whether he has a ....questionable... reputation within pro cycling.

Even when Malacarne was a captain for years with Europcar he did almost nothing. I doubt any teams rates him much anymore.

Basically he'd that one year at Europcar when even random Canadians where flying there. Later on not much. Although on Astana. Although a decent helper on last year's killer Giro squad. But maybe that's his “reputation“ and the reason LottoNL ain't gonna touch him!

The An Post Chain Reaction Sean Kelly team have added five fresh talents to the squad for the 2017 season. Five new signings demonstrate a huge amount of potential despite having only a few years of racing experience under their belts: German rider, JonasBokeloh, Conor Hennebry (Ireland), Bas Tietema(Netherlands) have signed one year deals, alongside track specialists, Mark Stewart (Great Britain) and Canadian rider, Adam Jamieson.

So not much WT Team News anyone got any idea who still have room to sign new riders ?
Rumours ??
Cannondale look to me like they've not closed their roster. They had full 30 riders roster in 2016, but so far they only have 26 riders confirmed for 2017 (with expanded WT calendar and new co-sponsor it doesn't make sense to reduce the roster that significantly). And they usually oficially announce their full roster for next year with 1 or 2 riders that were not confirmed before the announcement and the announement is yet to happen this year.

They were rumoured to sign Van Asbroeck but it's strange not to announce this kind of rider earlier than it's now. I expect them to sign one young rider from an American continental team. They do it every year. Although those who I would like the most (Owen, Costa, Powless, Dunbar), seem to have contracts for 2017 already, according to PCS, so I don't know.

I guess Brajkovic is still rumored to Bahrain? Apparantly there a couple of vacant spots there.
Miles Scotson was rumored to BMC for a while, currently they are at 27 riders which is two less than this year.
I am surprised that the new TJ Sports project hasn't signed any more for now. I was of the impression that the new sponsors brought a lot of funding.

That is how Copeland runs his business. Always late season signings. He probably gets a lot of desperate riders at a major discount by signing them late.

Brent Copeland is no longer Lampre's manager.
