Pidcock hasn't signed for Wiggins according to his father, Lotto U23 or SEG an option?
Signed with Telenet-Fidea, he wants to learn from Nys.

His contract allows him to ride for another team on the road.

I don't like this development. I'd rather he ride for Telenet on the road, or go for a road team that allows him to ride 'cross. I smell nonsense afoot if riders have two teams whose seasons overlap.

He wants to concentrate on Cross as he wants to try and win the men's elite. I dont think this will cause an issue in terms of road stuff will it?

His full cross schedule for this winter is already known, he then will likely take a (small) break and start on the road. Telenet can not give him the program he wants on the road, and as he wants to become a WT riders in a couple of years I think it's a good thing he is looking for a team that can give him the road program he wants.

Probably not for Pidcock this winter. But it's really not hard to imagine van der Poel (for instance) being told to ride 'cross the same weekend as his road team tell him to ride Lombardia.

I find this a bit strange. Telenet-Fidea ride on the road during the summer, so I'm not sure why he would need to go to another team. And then there is the different sponsor/ bike supplier issues. Surely as a sponsor, you'd want him to go to a Trek supplied team.

I can understand finding Telenet's summer programme a little limiting - we're looking at a rider who could do anything, he deserves a better programme than just 1.1s and 1.2s in Flanders in July. But in my book you either make your peace with signing for a road team that lets you ride 'cross and miss out on Sven Nys, or accept Telenet have a limited programme, and ride as much with the national team as possible.

The plan a few months ago was for him to go to Telenet for the cross season and then in the summer to ride for Trek. But being a first year U23, that's probably too soon to go to the WT, even as a trainee. Maybe they want him to ride with a Devo team the first year or two and then to make the same kind of arrangement with the Trek team.

British national team is far from Italy in its racing programme. Best bet is something like Lotto-Soudal U23 particularly as his long term goal is WT.

It seems pretty sensible to me and is unlikely to result in split loyalties / conflicting demands because for the moment Telenet-Fidea is clearly his primary team and cross his primary focus. Telenet-Fidea are smart to sweeten the pot by offering him the opportunity to ride a better road calendar than they can provide.

As he transitions to road later in his career (assuming all goes to plan) that kind of arrangement might cause problems, but for now it's good.

I wonder what road team he will be moonlighting with though? WT is probably a bit too much for a child. A Low Countries PCT team (or Aquablue?) might be better.

Does Fabio Aru actually stay with Astana after all. His rumored Fly Emirates move hasn't been confirmed yet. Meanwhile he just got a new personalized bike from Argon18 and posted some snaps from pr appearances for Astana on Instagram. Wonder whether that means he eventually signed by or if they wait until the Italian fall classics have passed until they announce his departure.

When does CCC normally announce their new contracts? I see that they only have 5 confirmed riders next year. I'd expect them to sign Josef Cerny at least
Signing a rider they let go last year?

No new signings have been announced so far. Usually, they make announcements in late autumn (October-December), later than WT teams or other PCT teams.

Rumours:
in: Jan Barta (Bora), Kamil Gradek (One Pro Cycling)
out: Felix Grosschartner (WT)
