Sunweb to strengthen very well ... Vervaeke to the block of Tom and Theuns to lead in the Pavé, since Sinkeldam (best placed of the team in Paris Roubaix) goes to the FDJ.
Kittel goes to Katusha and Gaviria happens to be leader of the sprint, Coquard had to choose Lotto since Greipel is much older than Gaviria and thus had become the leader much earlier ...

Terrible... unzue will try to turn him (just like quintana) in a indurain. I would love to see him in oricaPedroMonteiro said:Site cyclingfever confirmed Landa in Movistar

The guy clearly wants freedom to be able to race how he likes and get support from the team yet goes from Nibali/Aru -> Froome/Thomas -> Valverde/Quintana. You could not have chosen 3 worst teams for what he supposedly wants.
At the end of the day you have to assume maybe what he actually wants is the $$$.

Maybe he has been promised sole leadership at the Giro.
Maybe also thinking that Valverde is going to be 38 next season and coming off a serious injury. More than likely focusing on short stage races and one-day races will be easier as the longevity for a three week race is lesser. After this year it's likely to be a while before Nairito tries the Giro again, plus Movistar is a team which would be looking for a replacement leader in the coming years as Valverde's results aren't going to replace themselves. Moreno is getting old too, they don't have a bonanza sprinter, they've lost Ion Izagirre and are rumoured to lose Gorka too, and Bananito is a huge question mark as ever, so they need another source of major results and it's too early for Unzué to start relying on the likes of Soler and Carapaz just yet.Moviefan1203 said:deValtos said:You have to wonder what on earth Landa and his agent are thinking.

IndianCyclist said:So Landa goes to Movistar and he gets the Giro Leadership. Will he be happy. I think not. Few teams have a strong full helper squad for a GT like Astana, Sky, Movistar but not for all three GTs in a year. Just look at Movistar. In the Giro they had a A squad whereas in TDF they are getting owned(Their best helper is Bananito). Most likely he will get a B squad. If he gets the lead how will he defend especially on the transition stages. He is no powerhouse TTer to chase all attackers. He would be better off in a team with decent helpers and with the ability to choose which GT as per his characteristics.
