Theuns had or has (?) multiple options, Trek offered a new contract, but Lotto and Sunweb did too. Nieuwsblad said that he chose Sunweb over staying at Trek or going to Lotto.

I'm not shooting anyone, just that the newspapers write anything today and the contrary tomorrow...

Theuns is not at Trek he's at BMC so is BMC offering a new contract and has he offers from Lotto and Sunweb and prefers the latter than BMC?

A pro Conti team can still go the cobbled classics. Especially one with a 8 million budget.

Exactly, top CX guys earn more than enough money, I'm more surprised about the fact that we don't see more MTBers on the road, a superstar like Schurter makes more than enough money (around 500k, if we include sponsers), but many great riders who are able to finish in the top 10 make only a tenth of that, not to mention the top Marathon MTB riders who are also not exactly the wealthiest.
I've heard rumours about Hirt going to Bahrain, the Carera brothers are his agents, so it would make sense. Having Cink as a teammate and many other eastern european riders, mostly Slowenians, would probably also make things a bit easier for him.

Talking about Slovenians, I wonder if Bahrain management also might be interested in Spilak.

I thought the same, but he seems to be happy at Katusha, so I don't know if he's willing to sign with another team.

Astana could make some sense, but Sky? Nairo would have to ride in front of Froome instead of taking his wheel. Chuckles . Big mistake IMO: Movistar is a Spanish speaking team, comfort, whereas the other two are very, very different. Sky is not becoming Spanish anytime soon, Astana...can be. To me it's Nairo making a statement, like "I will choose my calendar". Then it means: this years calendar was not his choice. Excuse or truth? Many questions arise,

His old coach is at Sky and there are a fair amount of Spanish speaking riders.

If you can't beat them, join them :lol: Sky already has 6 native speakers Spanish and a lot of the team members and crew speak Spanish. I think Astana is more likely anyway
