Kristoffer Halvorsen from Joker Icopal to Sky

Are you f*cking serious?

Bernal, Sivakov and now Halvorsen? **** off Sky
Have Sivakov and Bernal been confirmed tho?

No, not officially.
Bernal seems pretty sure though.
Sivakov is just a rumor, for now.

Dan Martin -> UAE (procycling.no)

Along with Aru according to Cycling Weekly.

There are also rumours that Martin may go to Trek (Stickybottle.com in an article mostly about the UAE rumour). Meintjes jumping ship would seem to indicate that UAE are bringing in at least one rider ahead of him in the pecking order though, whether that's Martin, Aru or both.

Jan Hirt(CCC Polkowice) to Astana
Finally! It has a bitter taste though, because he should be at WT years ago. Maybe this will healthily anger to show what can he can do. I fear not though, he seems pretty laid back character. His interviews are my most favourite.

Finally :)

Him and Nairo for GTs (though their supporting cast could still stand some improvement) and Bala for the classics, what a joy :)

I don't think so...

The only thing that changed from Aug 10 is that Landa signed for Movi, so rumour is still in the air.

It makes sense, Astana lost Aru, so they have a huge sit waiting for NQ.

So that's Landa confirmed to Movistar.

With Landa, Kennaugh, Nieve and Boswell all gone, that's some of the depth gone. Do they feel they don't need as much depth now as GT's are only 8 riders?

Of course Sky are still the strongest team but they are weakened especially as all the linked riders are youngsters.

Tour squad still looks ridiculous - Froome, Thomas, Poels, Henao, Kwiatkowski, Moscon, Stannard & Rowe

I think Sky is not the team for letting some good guys go and then consolidate what they have. They'll announce some promising names later on I guess.

Like who?

The calibre of signing Sky are usually linked with have either been resigned already or not available this year.

Landani to Movi.... :D

I soo want him to go full *** riding Il Giro to get that unfinished business done!!! Then team up with Nairo in the Tour to stir things up against the ol' team :D

great move by him, even if it was very obvious the outcome ;)

Best of luck to him, interestingly it was probably Sky making him ride the Tour which made his mind up on a move away. I just don't see him being happy riding the Tour unless he's a guaranteed leader, which he won't be with Quintana there. I can see one of them being rather unhappy in 12 months time, but that's their problem to have now. Perhaps Quintana leaves?

Nairo's agent already confirmed he'll honor his contract. As far as Landa- all I know is he wants to have the team fully supporting him in a GT of his choosing and then have a free role when riding with a Co-leader( Nairo in this case). Could end up being conflicting? maybe, but I believe that inside competition may benefit the team's direction & approach to GTs without relying on Nairo alone.

The problem with this is not that he would get full leadership at either Giro or Tour. Quintana won't be riding both for the foreseeable future if he has any sense. It's that if he's riding both he would be getting one to himself but also stopping Nairo from having one to himself. As Nairo has at this point a much superior GT record, there is no way he would accept a less favourable share with good grace.

If Landa is getting 1 complete leadership and 1 coleader/free role, the latter will be at the Vuelta unless the team are willing to aggravate the hell out of Quintana. Even then though, there remains the Valverde question. This move does make it look like the team don't expect Valverde to return at his old level. There aren't enough GTs to go around.

Well, Valverde is not getting any younger either. Let's face it he cannot keep this form for a long time. At some point they need new younger blood. And probably better if it is Spanish.

They've got to plan for a future sans the Don. He's going to be 38 next year. Even if they do expect him to be back at his old level, for how long can he maintain it? He'd already been above and beyond expected. And remember they've lost some solid banks of results in the last couple of years with Ion Izagirre in particular being a key loss. Valverde probably moves out of a three week rider niche and into week races and one-day races, freeing up some leadership space in the bigger stage races for Landa. Soler and Carapaz are still a year or two away from hitting their own leadership roles in significant races, in which case they'll probably be the ones anticipated to take over if Nairo is unsettled and wants to move away when his contract is up.

Unfortunately for them, they do need a bonanza GT leader because Valverde scaling back or retiring puts an irreplaceable dent into their coffers from the hilly classics, which he's led for so long that there's nobody really they can rely on to take up that mantle; Moreno's the only other proven hilly classics rider on the books, and he's almost as old as Bala himself. Maybe Rubén Fernández can be that kind of rider after his showing on Mirador de Ézaro, but that's all up in the air compared to having a proven 2x GT winner and a guy who's been one second off two GT podiums while not even leading.

Viviani's departure was expected in the last few days with rumours of Halvorsen (U23 World Champ) joining the team.

David De La Cruz will apparently go the other way in the Viviani deal.

Good deal for both teams. QS get their sprinter for the Giro and Sky gain a good mountain domestique.
