I like the fact that Jesper Hansen, the guy with some linguistical difficulties, is supposedly about to sign with a French team.
But it seems like he's the kind of person who doesn't say much anyway, and on the bike he doesn't need to speak.

(I'm also strangely excited about having the Danes spread out as much as possible.)

I dont really know what Jesper Hansen adds to a team at this point. He is a decent climber, but he is limited everywhere else.

Exactly the type of rider that French teams often signs. He is still a bit better than several of the similar riders on Ag2r (Dupont, Chevrier, Bidard, Domont) for instance. But for sure it was expected that he would not get reneved by Astana, where he has not been of much use.

Haha, Jesper Hansen's agent is very secretive regarding whom he's negotiating with. He won't name names but says it's two WorldTeams - one English and one French.

Hansen himself says he's not negotiating with the English team.

So I guess it's 50/50 where he ends up. I don't think there has ever been a Dane at FDJ and in this millennium there hasn't been one on AG2R either.

Michaelsen and Hoj but it was a very long time ago

Can't think of any danes at AG2R/Casino after Hamburger

Damn, that's true. I did remember Hamburger for Casino but had somehow forgotten the other two.

Wonder where Sosa will go. Trek makes sense, but I guess every single team on the WT is interested in his signature. He is ready to go WT early and get a role like Egan at this first year at Sky, but skipping the Tour and doing Vuelta instead I think. He won't do as well since I simply don't think he is as talented, but he is still an amazing talent.
He already has an agreement with Trek.

There's only 1 "English" WT team and that's Sky. I highly doubt they're interested in him.
Direct Energie and Cofidis are also bidding for a WT license for next season.

Ballerini singed with Astana
Astana - Ballerini choir sounds good, despite minor grammatic fault. Though I have to say it would sound even better if he sang FOR Astana, like a trubadour, or minnesinger...

Dupont is a far better rider than the other 3. He is also probably still a better GT rider than Hansen even in his very advanced age.

Lefevere is in talks to sign Jasper Philipsen.

I know Philipsen is not just a sprinter and has some Classics potential, but QS are getting a little ridiculous here. Already with Viviani and Gaviria, as well as two neo-pro sprinters in Jakobsen and Hodeg, who have both won at WT level already this year. How many more do they need and do they even have room for a fifth sprinter? Keeping sprint trains for five sprinters would be very hard to do at a high level, a lot of racing days for the men in the leadout as they jump between leaders.
