I did a little digging if anyone is intersted...Chaigneau is a sprinter...young at 21 years old. No wins this season with Jo Piels. He had a tryout with Skil last year...I guess they see something in this youngster....

In doing a little digging I found out that Skil stagiaire Maarten de Jong has signed a contract with Jo Piels. I guess he didn't impress too much with Skil.

Anyone have any news on where Jack Bauer may be riding next season? Did I miss anything?

Can he time trial and absolutely nothing else? If so, Garmin will no doubt be desperate to sign him.

Baptiste Planckaert (21), joins Landbouwkrediet-Colnago. He won a stage at the Triptyque des Monts et Châteaux in April and recorded 19 top-ten finishes this season.

Belgians Frédéric Amorison, Koen Barbé, Jonathan Bertrand, Sébastien Delofsse, Bert De Waele, Benjamin Gourgue, Kevin Neirynck, Sven Nys, Kevin Peeters, Bert Scheirlinckx and Geert Verheyen; Dutchman Dirk Bellemakers and Frenchmen David Boucher, Mathieu Drouilly and Martial Ricci Poggi.

Any idea how Sven Nys will go on the road? Should do pretty well at Roubaix.

Same as he's done in his countless road seasons so far: nothing worth mentioning.

Cyclo-crossers don't go well on the cobbles, as those races are always very long and hard, and mostly about endurance. They do well in short intense efforts.

They tend to do well in hard, short stages, no matter if those stages are mountainous, hilly or flat. Albert's few forays into road cycling are a prime example.

So Lars Boom the exception to the rule?

Lars boom will be pretty interesting on the cobbles in 10'. He seems determined to make a huge impact on road. I think he might do better in the ardennes...

It seems Job Vissers has signed with Skil. He is Dutch moving up from Elite 2.

Can someone please explain what exactly Elite 2 means? Is this amateur? Also, do riders from teams like Joker Bianchi make a salary or are they amateur? Thanks!

Elite 2 is a general term for amateur, yes. Joker is Continental (meaning pro), not Elite Amateur :)
