Clement Lhotellerie has signed for Roubaix Lille Métropole.

Roubaix really must be desperate if they are going to touch a rider like Lhotellerie.

Team Sky confirm Dario Cioni and David Vigano for next season. That gives them 24 and PT requires between 25 and 30 riders. So at least one more rider is to be confirmed.

I would like this rider to be a GC contender as I think they have a strong team but lack a real leader.

AC is staying because there is ambiguity surrounding the clause recently adopted by the UCI stating that if a team failed to submit the essential documents by October 20th, then a rider could terminate his contract. The ambiguity is whether the clause applies to ALL rider contracts, or just those entered into after July 2009 (when the clause was adopted). Instead of fighting in court, he's apparently made the decision to see out the remainder of his contract. All assuming that Astana has a ProTour license for 2010, which is very much up in the air at this moment.

My comment was in response to your earlier allegation that NO ONE WANTED TO RIDE WITH AC. I was simply pointing out that no one had any idea what was going on with Astana and that wasn't a reflection on AC. I stand by my original point. It is only within the last month or six weeks that Astana has gotten serious about things.

Im going to put you down for an epic fail. Next time re-read your own posts before talking sh*t.

Who's talking sh*t? You're clearly a much better interpreter of this stuff, and I was confused. I'm really not up on cycling stuff. I flip through CN once a week and VN once a week.

I was thinking that since AC was on the fence, hadn't bought of his contract yet, and was trying to convince Paulinho to stay, people would've wanted to ride with him. Even now as it look like AC is going to stay... not that many people have signed up with Astana. So what's the deal? Does nobody want to ride for Astana even though AC is staying?

Thanks for your patient explanation.

They only need 23 at this stage, so they're ok. Confirmed by Mr Rumpf on twitter.

Contador tried to leave as well, so you can say it's 9 out of 9.

SKY won't sign anybody GC wise. Just waiting for Wiggins to see out his year with Garmin and then he will sign with SKY.

What if Wiggins was a one hit wonder which I could see very easily with a coarse not suited to him this year (more climbing, less TTing)

I just see top level British team, Wiggins has always given me the impression he is proud to be where he is from, and the same management that helped him win several Olympic Golds being a match made in heaven. Same way I see Cancellara when he is done with Saxo Bank, he will join BMC.

no shock there then...

Dont him and Geraint T, share a flat...?

Ben Swift has had his move to Team Sky blocked by Katusha according to Cycling Weekly. It would appear as though the transfer was almost complete but no negotiations had actually taken part with Katusha who dont appear to be to happy about it all.

Has anything coming out of Proskurin's mouth turned out to be truthful so far?
