Mettepenningen (Sunweb-Revor) makes Stybar 550,000 salary offer to defect

za 13/03/2010 - 15:05 |War in cyclo-cross country sporza.be/ What the f**ck are we doing? Stybar is not Boonen," snorted Telenet-Fidea-manager Hans van Kasteren pointing to the aggressor.

"A while ago, all teams have signed a charter which we promised not to approach riders who are under contract. Now it happens anyway. Mettepenningen not trust."

"I have taken legal action against Mettepenningen. I hadn't from him really expect anything else. But a major bank like this Agricole hits me."

Van Kasteren also gets to Stybar itself. "He plays very smart. Stybar is itself looking for interested teams and then begins to lie about their salary in Fidea for everyone to play against each other," he says.

"Well, what do you want? East blockers are apparently sensitive to doping and money. Stybar As early departure, not that I do I will shut down the team."
World champ Stybar remains relatively calm in the allegations of his employer. "van Kasteren knows what I'm doing." :D

McQauid where are you Beppu, Wiggins etc. etc. you had a big mouth now get some UCI action.

One to watch ...

Former Tour the France stars new team: 'Joseba Beloki - Cafés Baqué picks up a huge talent Daniel Díaz from Argentina'
cic-danidiazdobr.jpg

At only 20 years old winning Doble Bragado last year Diaz currently is acting in the 34th Tour of Mendoza (12/3-17/3) in Argentina and will thereafter be added to Beloki's team Cafés Baqué based in Spain.

Diaz who had the chance to sign a big paycheck contract to stay with his current team 'San Juan' choose not to and instead will now race for no money but for glory to reach a professional team.

Thanks.

Susan

Its a rumors thread, why would it matter? If I don't see a link I know it may be hearsay.

Yes I agree Boonen is greater than Sky;) I respect your opinions dim but I can't see boonen leaving quickstep

Just passing on information that was given to us that may be of interest. ;) I had never even considered the prospect of Boonen going to sky, and dont think it would benefit the team.

And Lefevre won't get Contador. Conta will go with the new Alonso team or stay with Astana/Martinelli, I think.

Boonen is wise to shop around though. Sky has lots of cash to throw at him. But really can't see Tommeke leaving QS. This is probably just a bargaining chip for more money out of Lefevre, who would be an idiot to let Boonen go. He'd be run out of Belgium by irate fans.

Marc Sergeant justified the signing as such: "After Cadel left, we needed someone else intent on killing reporters"

Giampaolo Caruso moves immediately from Italian Ceramica Flaminia to Pro Tour team Katusha.
The 29-year-old Italian who had a clause in his contract to take, stating that a transfer is permissible if his team was not allowed to start the Giro d'Italia. That happened because the management Zomegan no allows the Ricco team in the Giro. Caruso will now start in the Giro for Katusha.

So where will he end up then??? Sky or resign with Saxo Bank??

Any reason you connect him to Sky as opposed to any other team? I haven't heard anything concrete. As I understand he's just keeping his option open due to the, in retrospect correct judgement that his value would increase after the spring classics.

Probably because of Sky's Scandanavian Heavy Roster?

Hey Dim, was that Boonen --> Sky thing and April Fool's?
