frenchies had their time, italians had their time, spanish had their time...clearly it's the age of anglo-saxons now just like mcquaid said here

There is a clash going on at the moment between two cultures, the Anglo-Saxon and what I might call the mafia Western European culture," said McQuaid. "The Western European Culture is a culture that has to some extent - I won't say condones doping and cheating practices - but because of their culture in life, because of the way they deal with everything else in life they accept certain practices." "The Anglo-Saxon, which would be here [in the Netherlands], it would be Germany, it would be the United Kingdom, it would be Denmark - is the complete opposite. And they have a completely different approach to the doping fight, and it's evident when you see the approach the teams have made - the German teams in particular there were a major problem in July - and the approach they have taken looking at the future and how they move forward into the future. "And it is important, I feel, it is very important that at the end of the day the Anglo-Saxon approach wins out - because if it doesn't, then the sport is doomed."

looks like the sport was saved now :p

you don't wanna know what JTL will do in the ardennes classics 2013

personally what i can say, chapeau to the british,i just enjoy their show

If Mcquaid said that, It's ripe clinic material.

Really can't be arsed.. If you don't want to look you won't see, which is the approach you're taking. British Cycling on the track, the creation of Team SKY, taking it to the road - World Champs, SKY bossing the Peleton whenever they bring the A team (again.. Algarve, Paris-Nice, Romandy, Dauphine) 1 and 2 in the Tour, 4 different Brits (3 SKY) with Tour stage wins, as of today.

They have the system in place to carry on and everyone else is playing catch up.

Enjoy your stay in dreamyland. I hope you wake up gently.

Former tour winner Barne Rijs, and Chicken Rasmussen who was pulled out while leading the tour for lying about his whereabouts must be Spanish then.

Of cause not, now you're just being silly. Bjarne Riis is German (little know fact), and the Chicken is of cause Mexican.

Come on, it's well know that anyone who evil is also automatically German. That doesn't count!
Ah, but he's also from Jutland which it is well known is part of Germany, so he is German twice over so it does count!

Therefore he still is Danish, and you have to face reality. ;)
He isn't and I don't. HA!

I was thinking the same myself!

I was pinching myself - 2 Brits leading the Tour? Maybe it is a dream and Cav isn't World Champ...

The carnage of the first week has blown skys performance way out of all proportion.
Both the sky fans and "cave" dwellers have lost all perspective.
For instance lets take Mollema...
Remember Froomes best day on a mountain Pena Cabarga with the massive attack and the duel at the death with Cobo? he finished a MASSIVE 21 secs ahead of Mollema yep 21 secs
Mollema
Gesink
Kruijswijk
VDB
Sanchez
Valverde
Rolland
Hysedal
All crashed first week all of whom could of competed at the level sky are at today

I'm sorry that last sentence is way too ridiculous...! Hesjedal maybe.

And the French should stop wasting money on cycling

Haha! I definitely think Pisti's got a point. For those Americans that don't understand, If Andy Murray wins Wimbledon, he's British, if he loses he's Scottish..

David Millar has always been very proud to be British though and deserves his credit. Except when he was caught!

When Contador rides he isn't ruining the race then ?

Some people find - he does.

Contador attacks. He's fun to watch. Wiggins just sits there, behind his nauseating wall of domestiques, and wins in the end. It's worse than the postal years. At least armstrong would attack once in a while.

Well fact is. 3 years ago people laugh at Sky and their objectives. Their first season didn't do well...

In 2nd they vastly improved and 1st place in CQ rankings showed this.

In the 3rd year I can say they are the best team in the pro cycling at the moment.
