wanting away from a team but with a valid contract, to reach greener grass on the other side, but unknown if it works or not. also, young athletes, very promising, talented riders, with more pressure to perform in their "new" team.
Yes. For me it's more like; "learn from Cian case; don't try to develop too fast or you might go backwards"

I think it's quite awful how young they take them to turn them into monsters and throw them away if they don't deliver.

Winning tdl for upcoming futures, apart from salary, will mean less and less I believe.

Matxin leaving UAE?
https://cyclinguptodate.com/cycling...o-has-brought-in-tadej-pogacar-and-juan-ayuso
The Spanish scout was brought into the team several years ago after proving his worth at Soudal - Quick-Step and quickly became a big and important influence in the team, having a key role in the signing of riders such as Tadej Pogacar and Juan Ayuso with whom he is very close with. Besides a scout, he is also a sports manager in the Emirati team, and often the team's voice during races where he is always open to talk to fans and journalists alike. Spanish newspaper AS reports now that Matxin's contract is ending at the end of this year but it has not been renewed. It is unclear whether it still will be or if 2024 will really be the final chapter of Matxin in UAE.

More clickbait crap from cyclinguptodate

From the original AS article:
Matxin has outside offers on the table... although the intention of both parties is to renew. Therefore, there are matters to be dealt with, something that will be done in the next few days, taking advantage of the presence of the Italian Mauro Gianetti (the CEO) at La Vuelta these days.

Ayuso having a grand old time with the lads!
