There is a possibility Froome just won't be able to cope. Then the result indeed will be really bad. If i remember correctly the bones have healed by November. Mentally Froome is strong and focused. Now as for the muscles. Three months is really not that much, but Froome is experienced enough, to get in a reasonable shape in such time frame.

It’ll be a training ride for him. Even without the injury, I doubt he’d be near the top 5. Unless something drastic happens, we will have to wait until the Dauphine to find out if he still has the legs to win.

Even if he wasn't injured I doubt Froome would target the victory.
9 months out of races is a lengthy break in every sense.
His result will clearly be assessed with some kind of bias, and for him it'll be a guideline.
Ineos' lineup also suggests their goals aren't exclusively related to the GC.
I'm looking forward to see him on the bike and scoresheet again.

Movistar's riders don't look particularly interested in what's going on. Although I love JJ Rojas standing there with his arms folded.

Four man break. Two from Gazprom, Cherkasov and Scaroni, and two from Vini, Tortomasi and Stojnic.
Peloton at around 2:30, controlled by sprinter teams.
Just under 75 Ks to go.

Anyone else thinking that Valverde and Rojas look a lot like each other? In races I usually have to check twice which is which (well except for the champions jersey of course).

Going by the way of recent results, they're probably thinking maybe Valverde should have gone instead of NQ. :D;)

They really dont want to catch this break it seems.
I would have liked the team TT like they did last year.

Shape of jaw, shape of mouth and stubble all very similar, so when wearing a helmet and sunnies they do look similar.

Groenewegen blocked and riding the best sprint, when is it ever different. Jumbo should get their act together with these leadouts
