Yes the ridiculously small race with 9 WT teams and all the best Pro teams. Gooikse Pijl is literally one of the most stacked .1 races every year cause a lot of topsprinters go.

Muur Classic is of course indeed a great race to dominate from them cause the little WT team that are there have their best team in Renewi Tour (just weird that they are at the same time honestly).

And yes, UNO X will definitely ride more than what PCS says, in Oktober in particular. Some Italian classics, some Belgian and French ones, etc. But I wonder if they will do the first "easy" part of the Italian classics, the one at the beginning of September. That's where you can farm a lot of points as there are never a lot of WT teams going.



Al always wonder when these 2 French teams are going to understand that riding as many races as they just ruins their own riders. Yes riding a lot of races in necessary for points, but they completely overdo it. I genuinly do not understand why riders are still signing there when they know they will just get worn out for points.

Sure if we're talking about someone like Buchmann, but ARANBURU??? I mean it's just his agent tbh, and I'm sure Cofidis pays him big bucks but someone like him should be able to get that somewhere else you would think. On the other hand he will be leader everywhere at Cofidis ofc.

It's basically the Lotto 2022 (and a bit less in 2023) tactics when they were at these races with De Lie, Vermeersch, Campenaerts etc. And yes they perfectly used the few Belgian races that always have a low level field, Dwars door het Hageland is notorious for it, it should never be .Pro.

Yes they need to start in de CdF races (and it's easy points most of the time), but they also do every single Belgian race, Arkea does every single small Italian race (often also known als pretty low level), ... It's A LOT, and at some point you gotta wonder if it's smart and not better to go with a dominant team to lesser races (like in Druivenkoers were Arkea got 2nd and 3rd cause they simply had a really strong team there).

You are correct. I'm a Cofidis fan and thus very biased. But Cofidis sends most of their best riders to the WT calender that they are obliged to compete in while Uno-X takes full advantage and even send bad teams to Volta Catalunya etc, but full stack belgian 1.1.'s.

Cofidis would never be where they are (WT) without stacking the french calender for years. I am not blind just biased.

I think the whole system needs an overhaul is the general point. It can't be that you get 50 points for winning a stage in Dauphine and 125 points for winning Tour of Leuven. That seems so incredibly wrong to me.

Interesting that their own 2024 ranking isn't exactly the same as the 2024 column here. Ineos for example misses around 50 points, Lotto 75 points, Alpecin 30 points, Jayco 5 points, ... Trek has 30 points too much on the other hand.

Meanwhile the Uci points farmers of Uno-X got to experience how difficult it really is to get points when they are not competing against belgian CT riders.

Do you know if they are guaranteed sponsorship for that long ? I would say about a 95% chance of them going down at this point. Can't see them getting TDF or Vuelta invites if so. Italian races and maybe Giro on the books the coming years?

I don't see many compelling reasons to sponsor them beyond 2025. As I see it, they are poorly managed, poorly performing, not well-liked in general and have no big stars.
