INTERMARCHE 385 - i was right about it. Girmai form dropped, and he also crushed. the team is now 18 place.
IPT 320 - i was right about it. without Gee, the team can't score.
JAYCO 860 - i was wrong, although O'connor won a stage.
UNO-X 1315 - i was right, and Abrahmson won a stage! what an amazing viking team they are!
PICNIC 1990 - i was right, Onley was amazing!
COFIDIS 155 - i was wrong - this team was terrible, Coquard took out the green jersey and DNF, and their bikes were stollen.
ARKEA 1030 - was right - Vaquelin had a great TDF, but it didn't save the team from relegation.
XDS 790 - was wrong - ASTANA are like a suicide squad, don't know what they are taking, but it's something good.

so in total 5/8 for me - not great i guess.

Some great calls there, but given that you expected 1000+ from Jayco (thanks to GC), how high did you have O'Connor when you predicted it?
Top 5? Bold.

Probably expected a Groenewegen stage win, he's usually good for one. That and a top 10 gets us over 1000

But O'Connor won a stage. And being in top 10, he probably wouldn't win, so it's kinda the same.
Jayco scored 860 and O’Connor was in the top 10 before the 20th stage. When dropping to 11th they lost 40 points, so without that mishap they would only lack 101 points to score 1000+, which Groenewegen would’ve sorted with 2x 5th instead of being 14, 15 and 16th in the three sprints he did. Jayco 1000+ was not unrealistic in my eyes.

The UCI points are bit of a misnomer. Yes, Jayco got a stage win in 24/25 but their overall performance was average, yet, they performed brilliantly in 2023 for no stage wins.

the WT Wildcard Battle current situation:

Uno-x have got the Wildcard in their bag already.

Q36.5 will send Pidcock to the Vuelta, so they can score there some points, if not there is always the Intermarche license option.

ARKEA situation is dire. don't know if this wildcard will be used, it might just be given to the team after ARKEA, which is Cofidis.

TotalEnergies have low chance of obtain this license, and sponsor will terminate is support for the team by the end of 2026, so don't see much use for such wildcard.

if available, then the Swiss teams, and perhaps Cofidis or even Uno-X , will be interested in buying Intermarche license. as it looks now Q36.5 has the most interest, since it got no wildcard prospects at the moment (although they will surely will be invited to races by organizers, but the TDF invitation need to be secure).

Pretty much over at this point. Cofidis will get Intermarche's spot barring disaster.
Far from over imho given the merger of Intermarche and Lotto. UNO-X is close to Cofidis and at the current pace they are almost guaranteed to pass them before the end of the year. Then there’s the question of Intermache’s license. Will UCI allow it to be sold and to whom? If there are several similar bidders it might be a matter of sporting merit where Cofidis and UNO-X could be favoured, but teams like Q36.5 might be more desperate and willing to bid higher. UCI will need to determine if they prioritise a team’s right to sell their rightful license or sporting merit based on their 3-year ranking.

Cofidis will race more races than UNO-X until the end of the season, Vuelta included. I don't know what to hope. Cofidis would get the Tour-Vuelta wild card anyway

UNO X only 560 points behind Cofidis today.
Seems like Uno-X wont score big in Denmark given Cort wasnt able to make it to the front group and their guy in the front group William Blume is a pretty medieocre TT-rider and could get dropped on the hilly stage. Last year they did great in Artic Race and Denmark, doesn’t look good this year.

Let’s see in the many one day races to come, for example Bretagne and Hamburg could be big points.

UCI WT promotion gaps:

COFIDIS recuperated from its TDF performance. they have still some racing to do to try to pass INTERMARCHE, that is not looking good since the beginning of the season.
Uno-X don't have enough racing days left, sadly, so they will have to settle for the wildcard, apparently.
