No man it is all good. Have you read all the tweets yet? My bet is that USADA is probably taking all this down now seeing how my twitter / twitts were so relevant and all. :D

Go back and read some of my replies to you and ummmm just maybe you can pick it up. Deep-sea dog that is the name of the game.

Oh and Analgubus or Enalgubus etc.......the "tird" vs Turd was due to a touch screen on a small *** dumbphone. Any time you would like to not make it personal and just focus on the topic besides the person's screenname would be nice.

Lets focus on USADA and LA.

I didn't write the "turd" thing, somebody else pointed that out. I just posted the tweet. I actually thought you spelled it incorrectly to be funny. Per usual with me, if I read any of that stuff incorrectly, I apologize. Friendly fire is never my intention.

Hi Glenn!

You are alive. I was afraid you had been revoked here only to be forced to tweet with little keys on a smart phone. Tweeting off a smart phone?

You realize that I may not make good on that long planned celebratory Texas trip if you keep up the whole friends with Lance thang?

(That is what we call poster intimidation here on CN Forums.

Not quite as exciting or over the top as accosting someone in a bar and forcing them to leave the restaurant or threatening to have someone fired at Oakley should they consider remembering your confession in a hospital room.)

Dave.

You see I leave you children alone for a while and looks what happens! You've upset him. He's sitting at home under house arrest and you go winding him up.

I do wonder what he is telling the family...

Dave.

My favourite was offering and hanging high grade cancer care over people's head... "you know when you told me about your uncle... I can make sure he gets the best care if you do this for me".....

Charming man.

Its a shame that threads have to become polluted with irrelevant banter between veteran posters

yawn

Actually, that is in keeping with most clinic threads. The usual progression is:

1) An actual event that is reported by journalists who are not anonymous. (Note that this excludes people who spend their days making things up or those who like to post unsubstantiated rumors)

2) Actual facts and responses by the applicable parties, reported in the press, that can be discussed in a rational manner.

3) No new information for a period of more than a few days or so. The usual suspects, in lieu of actual information, shift gears into speculation mode, which by definition (in the clinic) is usually a wish list.

4) Irrelevant and acrimonious posts that tend to lead to forum "vacations" for one or more forum members.

5) The occasional vortex.

6) More factual information reported by journalists who are not anonymous.

7) Wash, rinse, repeat.

Much of does look authentic, but how to explains posts like this from 21 Nov 2010:

Why would he say he's with himself?

Or this one? ...

LA pretending not to be LA is more likely than someone pretending to be LA pretending not to be LA.

Or not pretending at all, a shattered mind...

Could be simply propagating his spin network for all inclusive awe and awareness of his totally super cool exclusive posse... or his alter ego is smitten with his corporeal self. Remember one word, Narcissist.
Dope Rides Again.

Kind of a hokey link, but quick and perhaps appropriate:

"In my work with extreme narcissist patients I have found that their emotional age and maturity corresponds to the age they experienced their major trauma. This trauma was devastating to the point it almost killed that person emotionally. The pain never was totally gone and the bleeding was continuous. In order to survive, this child had to construct a protective barrier that insulates him/her from the external world of people. He generalized that all people are harmful and cannot be trusted."

"The protective insulation barrier he constructed is called a false persona. He created a false identity."

Aaach! Lance is a casebook example of a sociopath, arguably with some undertone of oedipal complex (love the mother - or every woman that looks like her and is cooked in donut grease, kill the father).

Look up 'Sociopathic Style'.

While you need to have strong examples of multiple traits to fit the characterization, you really don't have to get beyond #2: Grandiose Self Worth, to realize you are on the right track.

If this were only true, there would be little to discuss.

The truth is more like there are many ill-informed or distortion prone (hello Phil & Paul) 'journalists' who may even be directly involved monetarily, promote or follow the hype, and cater to their advertisers, that echo the distorted PR story.

There are some good intentioned souls with good web sites that know the real story, but need the advertising revenue too badly to comment on doping whatsoever.

This is not new with Lance, nor was it true with Landis, but both stories offer good examples.

These journalists are joined by a very extremely zealous fanatics who fit the literal description in every sense of the word. Think 'Trust But Verify' as a great example of zenophobic over-the-top blindness. In the end, it proved to be an even greater yarn than Floyd's own FFF fund-raising endeavor.

The 'award' and 'distinction' winning trustbut site claims to have 'closed' in December 2008. Yet, the web fees continue to be paid and the site is still live. In the almost four years since December 2008 there has not been one single mea culpa comment even though Floyd had revealed all since that time.

The best part of these 'arguments' is that they purport a 'balanced view'.

Yes, it is a fully balanced one-sided viewpoint. trustbut even has a request for anyone that want to provide a counter-argument. Odd that nobody ever took up that offer, especially when 20/20 hindsight and Floyd's own admissions reveal the ultimately comical bias at TBV:

"TBV tried to be objective, making reference to all points of view. It's intended to be useful for folks of all persuasions."

Right...

TBV should be commended for a rare instance of balance when it incorporated one of my posts as an anonymous forum contributor. That post, however, provided multiple citations on scientific studies that had demonstrated the benefits of using Testosterone for endurance sports such as cycling. Wouldn't an unbiased viewpoint already have done the requisite Google searching to uncover this?

There are a precious few solid journalists that can offer an oasis in the hot air of massive distortion. Unfortunately, they often wait until there is a very strong, completely verifiable story from multiple parties before they actually write anything. While this diligence is commendable, their reporting often lags the real story by a considerable amount of time.

Thus, we are left with a few honest souls here (mostly) and there that have a few leads and connections, keep track of the data, and/or can see the obvious for its blinding obviousness.

RR has already pointed out his 'news breaking' on the JB 'interview'. He has provide many, many other first reports. Similarly, I am pretty sure that I was the first to post from Lance's SCA deposition, among others. Then (on another forum) we had multiple experts posting 'anonymously' on the veracity of test data, etc.

What is interesting is that a few such folks can keep track of the extensive background on this case and often supply a much deeper insight than can be offered by even those few journos who have not been drinking the Koolaid.

The true sniping begins when the paid-for or misguided shills try and undermine these efforts.

Kind of like the dismissive post that has been quoted here.

Dave.

Oh my goodness.

In a major look at Armstrong’s career and achievements, in the context of the USADA case, Edward Pickering writes: “A few days after interviewing Lance Armstrong in Austin, Texas, for this magazine on the occasion of his comeback, in late 2008, I got The Call.

“It’s not unusual for me to contact interviewees after we’ve spoken. It’s sometimes necessary to follow up and check a couple of facts, or explore a line of inquiry that we didn’t have time for.

“This one was different.

“Number withheld.

“‘Hey Ed, it’s Lance Armstrong,’ said the voice at the other end.”
