Actually the U.S. Government recognized the USADA by act of Congress in 2001 as the U.S signatory and implementer of the World Anti Doping Code. The USADA does receive federal funding, but is set up as a non-profit by which it gains independent status, but to state that a agrgument against this will never fly is funny because the law is never a static element. Like I was jokng earlier....I need a good judge. Courts overturn rulings all the time.

I not arguing that it will happen, but for you to state infactically that "It will not fly" is really funny. Never say never.

I believe the trusim trumps the cliche here.

You're right. Anything could happen.

What worries me is you appear to be willing for "anything" to happen.

Where would that leave us? Where would it leave Armstrong?

A holding patten would destroy him more than the truth.

This started 2 years ago and is still going. How long do you think he can last?

This is why I always vote against his ability to do a tearful confession on some daytime program...
he doesn't seem capable of remorse or guilt.

Armstrong is just good target because of the truth of it. The question you need to ask is who is doing the shooting. Armstrong is wealthy and apparently not congenal, but he's not big money. There are a lot of truths when it comes to misbehaving. Armstrong is looked upon as dangerous trialer trash by the real money. That's my theory.

You should become a cynic like me, then you could laugh at it all and stop wasting you time here unless you getting paid to do this, then I guess I would understand your zeal.

In 5 years there won't be a Livestrong.

In 2 years he'll be close to broke.

In 1 year there won't be a 7 time Tour champion.

Big price to pay for being "clean".

I think that is a plausible outcome, but I think if that is the case, the evidence in the possession of the USADA will see the light of day in a public forum somewhere.

If it's not airtight, then there's the risk it might open some opportunity to invalidate the arbitration findings. I'd rather it stay shut tight than have that opportunity arise.

The next step after CAS is bonus rounds of litigation for Wonderboy if CAS just doesn't make stuff up and let Wonderboy skate. It will get interesting there too.

I'm probably not the only one that wants this process to stick. A win in arbitration is just one step.

To speculate: other older and stronger cancer interests would like to see just that in this economic contraction because donations are running thin.

Can't Lance's people tell you how to spell "trailer"? Your theory ignores many people that have witnessed his history and are telling it at great risk to themselves financially. They are known individuals and your theory is pure a.s vapor.

Sorry for the typo mister. I have to type with my toes:p, but you just want to go off-topic. So go ahead and blow your horn. I am tired. The troll comments are next. I am wasting my time here.

Judge Sparks isn't the only grappling with the jurisdiction question. (Well, maybe not grappling - figure he has a pretty clear idea as to whether he has jurisdiction.) In the appeal of Jonathan Vilma's suspension by NFL Commissioner Roger Good (the Saints bounty case,) US District Judge Ginger Berrigan in a hearing last week that she though the suspension was too harsh a punishment and that she would rule in Vilma's favor if she were certain she had jurisdiction to do so.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8...e-ruling-bounty-case-involving-jonathan-vilma

So she's not sure if she has jurisdiction, even after the NFL heard the evidence and made their decision per their process.

Superleicht

I know it's kinda OT, but couldn't help but notice this:

You are not a potted plant, an innocent bystander helpless to right this wrong," NFLPA attorney Jeffrey Kessler told the judge.

Surely this is a backhanded way of saying: if you don't do anything, you are clearly helpless and thus a potted plant.

In this NFL case another team is allegedly playing the payer for action (to hurt others). In our case, it's the UCI that has effectively paid a player to "hurt" others.

Totally on topic but apparently you can't read past the first question. This isn't a fabrication of some dark Cabal (that's a group of bad, bad people) against a hugely successful hero and generator of light, good and unicorn farts.
This is about real people being used, abused and a false persona. They exist unlike the folks in your "theory".

I think I understand it pretty well, actually. Could I be wrong? Sure.

This is where we disagree. Thwarting the proceedings would be great - but making the case that the proceedings weren't just is a very, very nice ancillary benefit. I'm pretty sure his legal team understands this.

I never said they were. I simply said that people who are dismissing them as incompetent (1) fail to look at Armstrong's counsel history, which has been quite good to put it mildly and (2) fail to understand that this is part legal battle, part legal show for the public. And in the end, 2 might be more important than 1.

Herman is a joke, he is consistently been one of the weakest parts of Wonderboy's team of paid liars. Fail is his specialty

The fact is the "State Actor" stuff has been fought over in court multiple times. Each time the doper lose. It is a losing idea, one that is not supported by facts....but it gives the groupies hope

A pacemaker shoo-in supposed to look that way, Hermi is doing a perfect job thus far.

The one thing judges on this probation level hate is when they are told how, what or when, let them figure it out them selfs by testing the waters on both sides.

Sparks after his first initial strike knows its serious and that there is so much more to come in this paramount case.

Its tough being banned. Provincial marathons are the only ones who will accept you.

I wonder if there was drug testing?
