So what is next?

Last weeks events were no surprise to those who read The Clinic....but what is next?

you will hear the phrase "take the shot or you do not start"
We will find out about an American rider who got his EPO confiscated by customs
Tyler was not the only guy who doped at the 2004 Olympics
Followed, hacked, and harassed. Yup. Lots of that.
Pictures
Tapes
Tenerife
and more good news coming from across the pond

Stay tuned kids. Last week was just the half time show. This quarter going to be fun!

What is it with Tenerife... wasn't there a team there just recently?

I'm becoming more hopeful that this is going to end spectacularly after all. The 6 months off season suspension for GH, DZ, CVV, LL etc wont be spectacular though. Bit of a non event really. Perhaps we could have a sweep-stake on the start date to liven it up. 31 July? 4th September.....?

Funny, I almost started this exact thread! I was wondering what they're going to do with those guys. I doubt they'll get off completely, but it's going to be light. I'm also thinking 6 months suspension, starting right after the Le Tour...don't wanna mess up Hincapie's retirement tour and all.

Mainly, I wonder if this factored into the Olympic withdrawal? If they really want to be nice to these guys, they'll make sure the suspension covers the Jan/Feb races that none of them really want to do. So, maybe they'll wait until Sept or so...

Groupie Journalist shares his talk with lance

http://www.utsandiego.com/video/play/44160/

Lance hates his lawyers

Lance is babbling about a civil case against USADA, taking it to the supreme court. He should ask Mary Decker Slaney how that worked out for her :p

The rest is just random, fanboy, babble. "He passed the tests" "you have to dope to ride the Tour" what an old fool

September makes sense in terms of an august retirement for Hincapie. But I don't see why a September start it would absolutely preclude them from going to the olympics. I wondered if they have just opted not to go as a courtesy because it will be a bad look if anyone gets sanctioned after winning a medal.

I just noticed e.g. that Contador's 2011 race program and giro stage gifts minimized the number of important record books that had to be changed due to his retrospective sanction. I'm assuming ASO would have much pretty ****ed at him if he stood on the top step in Paris that year.

Do pros make an effort to protect the overall image of the sport sometimes? Is that part of cycling culture in your view, or am I connecting mirages instead of dots?

What was Decker on?

She really was an incredible talent. Couldn't let it go though.

 By deniers I meant Armstrong, Bryuneel, Del Moral, Marti, Ferrari and the other guy. IMO they are the ones who face perjury charges if they try to defend themselves by denying the USADA allegations at a USADA hearing. I doubt they had to do anything heavy handed to the cooperative riders.

How is that possible since Armstrong and Co. never lied to a Federal Investigator or went b4 the GJ? Didn't TH and FL lie to them at some point?and not face a perjury charge from the feds?

I only want restitution from Fraud. I want triple restitution from Lance.

He's also got to stop looking people in the eye and telling them he didn't dope.

And his Twitter updates about not being treated fairly. Should stop that as well.

And playing on the emotions of his supporters is sick. Especially those who are suffering from illness.

That he should stop.

I do not see you posting on any Jan Ullrich thread so I guess your primary focus is on Lance correct? Same for me I am only interested in seeing my friend not drug through the trash.

You're a late arrival on this forum then!

If you're a friend tell him he's embarassing himself.

Everybody is lying?

It's pathetic.

Zola Bud (sp?) took care of that talent :p

She had been on the world stage for more than 10 years by then. I think there's an extra d in Budd. Anyway, I'll google it.

Thanks for nothing.

It's a conspiracy I tell you! USADA actually made all of this up and some how manged to get 10 athletes to lie under oath about Armstrong. USADA are about to risk the entire franchise based on pretending Armstrong doped. Have no idea why they want to do this but it's just a vendetta and out of spite.

No rough time for me scott. Maybe a rough time for usada after the federal government cut's the budget on them and then the federal oversight ends up cutting the folks in charge of this great goose chase.

Floyd is a liar. Also if someone ever reads his twitter account they might get the impression he is either having mental issues or under the influence.

C'mon stop, please!

There's a literal parade of people who you know are going to say your friend/boss, is lying through his teeth.

Is George your friend too? You know what he's going to say.

Time to start acting like not everybody is an idiot and in thrall to your friend. It's over.

Secondly, Floyd's twitter provides great laughs all of the time. BTW, have you read his letters to Hein? More great comedy.

Face it, your friend has been lying for such a long time, he can never come clean without terrible PR, but it's probably worth it, just to end the stupidity for everybody.

Usada is a corrupt organization in my opinion that should have to be investigated.

Slaney was unforgivably cruel to Budd.

She was cruel but I think she had the maturity of a 14 year old at the time. She must be in her mid 50's now, maybe she grew up after the doping.

I really can't believe College came on here. Are these guys that out of it they don't think people will, "say it to their face?"

I understand keeping up the company line, but they really have to think about how to end this, because it's going to be unbelievably sad/funny if they fight USADA.

I don't think that's College. The poster is too erudite.

I think College has a man crush on his friend. He might love him a little bit. Look into each others eyes, taking their shirts off on long rides together.

Angry man. A lotta pent up energy in that boy...

It's not possible yet. If Armstrong and Co. testify under oath at a USADA hearing, by saying they didn't dope/didn't traffic/didn't coerce, it might be possible. The Feds have the evidence from the guys who did talk to them, which will prove the lie.

That's how I understand it to work anyway.
