Can you come up with a decent alternative?
Design the entire logo with red, pink and yellow. White is boring. Color is nice.

At Astana we've also got Fabio Aru, who is more suited to the Giro d'Italia than the Tour de France. And so if I ride the Giro, I'd overshadow him. So the team wants Aru to ride the Giro and I ride the Tour. I understand that choice"

Mayomaniac said:I fail to understand why the Giro would be better suited to Aru with the nearly 60km ITT. In the end this is what the team wants, they want their biggest name at the TDF to defend his title in peak condition.
Afrank said:He said Giro would be better for him than the Tour would be. And he's right, Aru has a better chance of a high GC and/or stage wins at the Giro then he would have at the Tour. Especially if Froome ends up doing the Tour instead.
Aru will be at that level one day to contend for a Tour win, but he's not there yet.
Jspear said:The way Nibbes worded his statement, "the Giro is more suited to Aru," makes it hard to tell what he meant exactly.
If Nibali meant that the competition @ the Giro was more suited to Aru because of who is riding (The Tour will have more of the "big favs"), then he is correct.
But, if he meant that the Giro is more suited to Aru in terms of the parcours, then he is wrong.

ferryman said:I think you are just about correct in your analysis. I don't think Nibali was being mean in any way or regards towards Aru, if I may expand on Nibali's behalf, perhaps he meant "the Giro is more suited to Aru at this stage in his career,",
Dunno, but looking forward to hearing his thoughts on Contador and Quintana tomorrow...

No, not really.Dr. Juice said:So Contador is not a serious Tour contender?
sir fly said:No, not really.
He hasn't podiumed for five years and will have Giro in his legs.
Top 10 maybe. Top 20 certainly if manages to stay upright.
Angliru said:So it's your belief that he must be on a serious decline performance wise for you to say that his making the top 10 is a maybe?

It's reasonable. He's aging, and we've seen it happened to Purito too.sir fly said:He [Contador] hasn't podiumed for five years and will have Giro in his legs. Top 10 maybe. Top 20 certainly if manages to stay upright.
Absolutely. Looks like he accepted the reality and decided to concentrate on the lesser GT. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.cineteq said:It's reasonable. He's aging, and we've seen it happened to Purito too.

Translation: There is a problem, not serious though. They don't seem to get along. I wonder If Nibali thinks Aru doesn't deserve to be a GT leader just yet...Jspear said:From his CN interview: "He can always ask me for advice when he wants. He might not ask but the truth is that we've never really raced together this year but I've never really had any serious problems with him. And I don't think he's had any problems with me. Of course, racing is racing, we're in the same team but we've tried to get on. I think that'll continue while we're in the same team."
