I'm not a fanboy that's all.
I like Nibali as I like many other riders but I preserve my entire fanboyism for the one and only Moreno Moser.
Thanks for getting out of the closet too. Eshnar did it earlier by getting mad at a Wiggo comment I made.

What I like about Nibali during this Giro (except from his strong showing) is that he doesn't dress like an idiot making everything pink from head to toes.

Not to mention that he doesn't let adversity - falling, punctures, gear problems affect him. Just carries on like a road warrior :)

Tira is also sick... and injured.

Astanas climbing squad is down to 2 guys, luckily Agnoli and Kangert are both fighting heroes when needed

Nibali looked very solid today. Super strong and always in control :D

And actually beating Evans in a sprint for the bonus seconds, impressive!

It isn't fair expect much from a 23 year old Neo Pro.
Kangert and Agnoli will be Nibble's last men.

not expecting much, just Astana as a team is pretty weak right now, it is always better to have one more man

Nibali looked absolutely fantastic today, in complete control. Even when he had a mechanical for a moment, it was fixed and he was back up at the front in no time. As long as he can keep this up I'm confident he will dominate the Giro. :D

Hopefully Astana's climbers can recover now, his team is the only weak point in his defense of pink at the moment. Just think what Nibali will be able to do when he has a recovered Aru, Tiralongo, and others at his disposal.

Actually that the good news, that they're just temporarily sick! :)

Maybe Kangert was told to drop back by the team? It's weird that he was dropped so early and only lost 2 mins to Nibali.

Good points.

Kangert got dropped with Kelderman?

He fixed second mechanical problem on the bike around 3Km, Wiggins probably will get off the bike to fix it, or just throw his bike away waiting for the team car.:D

"It's not the first time I've been in this position, I won the Vuelta," he said. "I had to fight right to the end to win the Vuelta and I'm ready to do that here too. I'm more aware of my ability as a rider now. I've matured. I know what I can do and how to manage the difficult moments better.

"I don’t know if Wiggins is ill but you can get sick in a Grand Tour and have time to recover. I was suffering with allergies in the south, early in the race, but I've got better. Wiggins has been hiding in the peloton but I noticed he was up there today."

"Evans is tenacious. He's always up there fighting," Nibali said. "He raced in an era when I wasn't there but he's still strong even today. That proves his consistency."

Very nice press conference from Nibali, cool, calm, collected and showed his respect to Evans.

Yes Nibs has matured, both as rider and in interviews. His presentation skills and regard for competitors show he is past the youthful brashness. He is looking like the complete package in Pink :)

Just praying he makes it through without illness as it is in the peloton and his team...who is he rooming with? Not one of the sickies I hope!

sometimes teamleader has his own room, 9 person per team, so one of them have to live alone unless sharing with staff.

If he do live with a roommate, my guess is his BFF Valerio Agnoli:)

Nibali is amazing, he´s completely fulfilling expectations.

The 1984 born Nibali and 1985 born Froome might be the top GT men for the next years.

Plus, Nibali will remain contender for San Remo, Liege and Lombardia.

Nibali is someone every team can be proud of having him in its roster. He is unbelieveably complete, physically, and also has the almost 100% perfect mental approach and skills. Not one single really weak point. Though I hate this fanboyism (that´s something for dumb soccer fans, and cycling is a noble sports), I hope he wins this Giro.

Good morning.i'm a new member.excuse me for my english language..
I saw Nibali in the climb of Montasio.i was at 3 km to go.
Nibali seemed quiet and not at max.
So i think that only the weather and could can stop the shark in this Giro.
