There has been reports of conflict between Kazkah side and eyetalian side of Astana in the Italian media so Nibali wearing the tricolore would make Vino more mad is maybe what the poster was alluding too.

Being uncharitable, it looks like Nibali was a little unmotivated for races outside Italy (P-N and Dauphine, in particular), keeping in mind his attack at MSR. I thought that might irritate Vino, and what's worse, that Nibali may be imitating Vino, going to France in national rather than team colors.

But seriously, if he loses le Tour and wins Lombardia, he's fired.

Gotta say, I very very highly doubt that Vino is upset about Nibali's win in any way. His star rider finally got his first win in over a year, gives him a great confidence boost heading into the Tour, and it may just be a sign that Nibali is coming into some good form. I'm sure Vino is as thrilled about the win as Nibali is.

Who cares if he won't be wearing Kazak colors at the Tour, or about any past minor conflicts they had. Their focus is the Tour, their a team and are in it together. At the moment I'm sure they're both looking ahead to creating a little chaos in France.

you know very well that Vino gave Kolobnev money out of pitty, because he knew he would crush him to such an extent that Kolobnev would want to retire. and Vino as the great guy that he is, wanted to make sure the Kolobnev had some retirement money.

might be (would not be that suprised), but people have for weeks now been screaming about how first Vino sent a awful letter to Nibali, then when this was proven to be wrong, that he had sent a awful letter the the whole team!!

I just don't see a 21 years old kid a few metres away from a national jersey giving up for some money. He's never won a race in his life and can't be sure he'll be in this position ever again. Maybe I'm living in a fairy tale world.

Apparently not a word. First Froome needs to be taken down. On the other hand it is said that he's one kilo lighter than last year's Giro. About time!

It certainly has the potential to be so. I've been trying to come up with a top 20 and there is so many potential contenders this year. The biggest problem is there always seems to be at least one "bigger" rider who gets caught out in a crash or something. I'm really hoping the fav's are able to stay out of trouble in the 1st week. I would hate to see a crash or stupid mechanical take someone out of competition.

I really hope so. After 2 years of a single rider dominating with ease, I really want to see some real competition for the top spot instead of competition for a podium or anonymous top 10.

He's one kg lighter than 2013 Giro!

Many people are writting him off, will be nice to see him proving them wrong.
