Well, I certainly don't think think the actions of 'festinaboy' here are reputable.

There are two possibilities about his allegation: one, it's fact, or two, it's opinion.

If it's opinion, letting an accusation just hang there whilst providing no corroborative material is neither fair, nor responsible.

If it's fact, surely he can disclose his evidence without fear? If the evidence does exist, it clearly isn't his to disclose, his pre-emptive actions being those of personal vanity.

For the reasons above, I don't find him credible and feel inclined to pass this guy over.

Being at the top. What is on top (above) of us all. The Sky. i.e. Team Sky.

Sounds like he is talking about cycling, right? Wrong. An obvious reference to his recent marriage and having to one day use Viagra. And what is Viagra? A drug.

Clearly referencing Gloria Gaynor and the lyrics of I Will Survive

I used to cry but now I hold my head up high

Gaynor's first real success was the song Never Can Say Goodbye.

So what he is really saying is: Team Sky never can say goodbye to drugs. Surprised this one slipped past.

Damn i laughed hard.:D Where's Hoggy? Surprised he didn't see this first.:D

Of course it is not reputable. His tweet itself is very cryptic. He did not even mention Nibali name, he only said money was rewarded too early. It could very well be Uran or Evan's prize money or some other stage winner's money. Then he replied to a tweet saying the number is not high, I even don't understand what does that mean. A vague tweet like this is just like a fart, pass it off please.

What are you on about?

The Giro Organizer should wait a little bit before giving Nibali the price money. Really. Hang on !

Be good if a French speaker would just translate all Antoine Vayer's tweets about Nibali (and there are a few) because Google isn't good enough for things like this. For one thing he mentions Martinelli but I don't understand the context. It seems he's anticipating some event. Potentially:

A positive at the Giro (but how would he know?)

A Biopass violation

A retroactive positive? (IDK if any retroactive tests were going on)

A outside investigation e.g. around Ferrari.

Très bientôt, il ne sera plus grand chose, Vincenzo. Qu'il profite.
Very soon he won't be very much, Vincenzo. He should take advantage.

ferrer avec un des bidons du velo de del moral, ca devrait aller.
Ferrer with Del Moral's bike water bottles, that should work.

Legeay pdt UCI ! Aigle transfere dans la Sarthe ! Roger ! Roger ! Roger ! Roger ! Ah si t'étais pas la Roger, ou en serait le velo ?
Legeay president of the UCI. Aigle transferred to the Sarthe (French department in the Loire region)! Roger ! Roger ! Roger ! Roger ! Ah if you weren't there Roger where would cycling be?

Not to offend, but it seems you are full of cognitive desonance, you just refuse to see the obvious, as you fear the consequences.

Not that they'll certainly catch Nibali on one the the Giro tests, but he's surely a doper.

He doesn't.

He's an ex-insider(possibly) touting a bit of sensationalist "opinion" for interviews and exposure.

You'll notice he seems to have got the interview, so it worked.

And I guess the "evidence" is all on this thread, yeah?

Yeah but "opinion": it's not a matter of opinion, he's saying something has occured. He's either right or wrong. It's not totally in his interest to make these noises if there is absolutely nothing behind it because his credibility is (further, if you want) damaged.

...which, in the absence of any corroborating evidence, is literally, an opinion.

And also Tai, as regards your saying that this guy has nothing to gain from being supposedly "found out", fortunately for him you can't prove a negative, which for an ex and now discredited insider leaves an awful lot of earning power for paid-for supposition.

You don't need evidence. There's no evidence on Froome either, yet his thread contains massive amounts of incriminating 'facts'. If he dopes, so does Nibali.

Brilliant detective work Pedro, way to uncover the truth. I don't think there's anyway it can be argued that this isn't what he meant. :D

Oh my Lord.

Listen, sorry, I'm new. I've clearly stumbled into a petty schoolyard squabble you're having over "who can slag off each other's pet rider the most".

Apologies. I'll move on.

Second thought - if the "event" Vayer is touting is his book release, then my bad. I assumed an event had to be a positive test or criminal investigation.

No need to apologize. It's just that the Clinic doesn't have actual incriminating facts, so all circumstantial evidence is interpretated differently, particularly depending on which rider(s) one doesn't like. That's what makes it tough to discuss out here.
