That was 2008 and nothing changed in the interim years till now. Let us see what Cookson can do.

Dr. Ferrari was recently reported to have been working with 5 amatuers who race at the Granfondo races I do for Chrissake!

There is no hope, with Cookson or otherwise.

Poor Dr. Ferrari. Can't even go for a ride with his friends!

Is he under house arrest?

I actually enjoying reading his observations on his website, which do tend to be changed and disappear.

He's a very astute man but his doping deeds are not much fun.

I'm sure Leinders is not under the same scrutiny

Evidently not, though he's supposed to stay away from cycling.

But why should I care? If only were it not for that fact that had I doped (given the results on pane e acqua,) perhaps I could have stood a fighting chance. Though not in this cycling.

C'est la vie. However these guys are sh!t.

<Nibali dopes, he has connections with Ferrari etc. Rides for Astana for Vino, no way he's clean.>

I dont know that Nibali has connections with Ferrari and overall there is very little (basically none) evidence about NIbali and doping.

Nibali and Pellizotti were spotted training with Ferrari.
While it doesn't mention Nibali, Bertagnolli's affidavit says pretty much everyone who mattered at Liquigas worked with Ferrari (see Kreuziger, who had roughly the same status in the team).

Looks obvious to me.

Nope. Nibali and Pellizotti were not spotted training with Ferrari. One person claimed that Nibali and Pelizotti were spotted. Big difference. Secondly, Nibali denied and it wasnt soft denial, but categorical - never seen, never met, never spoken.

Not true, Bertagnolli named Nibali at the beginning of the affidavit when he talks about his past teams and teammates. But when he starts to talk about riders with whom he went to Ferrari or who he saw with Ferrari, he does not mention Nibali anymore. So, what happened? Did he forget? Or maybe he did not mention, because Nibali was not part of group?

No, not obvious at all.

I meant it didn't mention Nibali among those who worked with Ferrari. Bertagnolli didn't mention everybody, at any rate, and it's still possible that he wasn't present at the particular camp Bertagnolli is talking about, but the point stands: spotted with Ferrari (yes, spotted by one person - you're going to have to back up your assertion that said person just made it up, because it's quite insulting), Liquigas worked with Ferrari at the time, Nibali was top brass at Liquigas.

No, I do not have to back it up and it is not insulting (In fact, it is insulting that you demand me to take ones claim as a matter of fact.) Burden of proof lies on other side.

As for Bertagnolli, many things are possible and we can speculate back and forth, but one fact is clear - when talking about Ferrari he never ever mentioned Nibali.

Yep, Nibali is clean. Of course he is, started as a pro at super clean Fassa Bartolo, then to Liquigas who used Ferrari, but only for training plans and now rides for ex doper Vino. How could anyone think Nibali would dope? Tsk tsk.

Change "Nibali" with "LeMond# and you can build similar network. Tsk.Tsk.

What has Nibali been up to this year?

Is he doing a monster peak for the tour and not bothering about any other races? I noticed that he just emerged from Mt. Teide to get some expert cobbles advice from Van Petegem.

Nothing much, laying low, catching up on some training he missed in the winter, getting some altitude training in. And........getting read to unleash a wave of domination across the pro cycling scene! LBL, Tour, Vuelta, Worlds; he's taking them all this year. You thought what we've seen from Contador and Froome was full-***. Well you ain't seen nothing yet! Get ready for 10.0 W/Kg and a 10 minute gap to 2nd in the Tour.

The parts before the dots were true though. :p
