I was explaining why I am not happy about his comeback by giving an example from the past.

Clinic talk belongs in the clinic. Having said that, you need to realise that for some riders they can do no wrong. On this forum if you drink a few beers with the boys, appear to be a 'good guy' or a tough guy, you can pretty much do what you want.

AC's gift to AS = a stage,
VINO's gift to AS = a sheep carcass

a no nonsense rider who knows the value of going all out, all or nothing. We celebrate the myth/philosophy of the attacking rider.

heart trouble

During a quiet moment of reflection today, I took a moment to remember poor Kim Kirchen and to say a prayer for him and his family. I can't imagine how difficult it must be what they're going through. I dunno, I get pretty anxious and emotional about this stuff, and worry that the same fate might befall me, or someone I care about - like Vino.

But then I breathe deeply and relax - because I realize that Vino will never have a heart attack. His heart isn't nearly foolish enough to attack him.

Science still didn't figure out Vino's origin of strength. His hart might pop with an amazing explosion and leave a circle of 200 kilometers in which nothing will ever grow again but aggressive flesh eating plants.

Do you say a prayer for all the riders you sold drugs to as well?

Vino has a SAG card (I think)

Too bad he lost so much time and got dropped away from top ten yesterday, though.

Agreed, but it makes him all the more heroic - he was sitting in the top-10, we now realize, without even trying to - it was simply a benefit to being a good teammate for Alberto.

I know that another poster shared some photos of Astana team getting ready to race, but did you guys know that Vino has actual Hollywood experience?

He was supposed to be in that movie Alien vs. Predator, which was originally titled Alien and Predator vs. Vino. But the studio canceled the film shortly after it went into pre-production, when they realized that no audience was going to pay $10 for a ticket to a movie that was 14 seconds long.

Ағайын тату болса, ат көп
Абысын тату болса ас көп

God, Vino is so hot...lol

VINO! takes second at San Sebastian.

He would have got first but he made a detour when he saw a herd of Cat. 4's trying to keep pace on a side road. It was a good BBQ. He had no trouble chasing back to the front but with the extra 900 pounds of carcass meat in his belly it took the edge off his sprint.

He would have devoured Sanchez, Sastre, Zubeldia, and Rodriguez too but the taste of paella offends his raw meat pallet.

VINO! will be appearing in the local bull fighting ring tomorrow, where he will actually fight the bull with his bare hands. Sorry, bull.

Wow... I thought that we were going to establish a religion, since I heard Vino's call I've changed my life... Vino saved me from myself! :D

I've just learned, from various highly reliable interweb sources, that VINO! could have taken the win at SS (and quite easily) but he did not want to wear that stupid hat. He was not smiling on the podium, he was snickering at Sanchez.

He will bring home a real trophy from the bull ring tomorrow.

I love how in the writes ups now CN only refers to him as 'Vino'

That's actually really cool.

Kind of like "Abdu" except "Vino" is "VINO!!!" and Abdu was only called "Abdu" b/c no one was sure how to pronounce his name.

Vino IS my religion. But no contradiction to commercialize it, I don't think. After all, Jesus Christ is like the Coca-Cola of Italy! (to paraphrase Lewis Black, I think...)

I mean, some one has to print those pictures of Christ. And by extension, some one will have to print photos and t-shirts of Vino.

The best is that all the scumbag hypocrite weasel journalists who have been absolute crucifying Vino since L-B-L (including Paul and Phil) now will either flip-flop shamelessly, or their heads will explode from trying not to think about how awesome Vino is. No hater can take that much Vino-awesomeness and not and not convert.
