The leaders didn't even know they were at the finish according to Eurosport.

Brajkovic more or less won by accident. They were stopped by organisers at the 'finish':eek::eek:

HAHAHA shows how inept the organisers are, its like a childrens u10's race where you have two people holding the string across the road and three other organisers catching the top 3...

If in doubt and you don't want to think too long about it, do what the greatest race on the planet would do.

Put the break at 0, put 70% of the peloton @ 6 seconds and the remaining riders on 1.20.

Done.

What a complete and utter farce. To think people were worried about losing these races to ones in other parts of the world. They can't disappear soon enough as far as I'm concerned.

I like a good Rabo joke, but this isn't even moderately funny. Brajkovic wins more or less at random, how is that a fail by Rabo?

that is the joke, a chance like that and still not winning. it's meant as a joke and not them failing

****. ****. ****. We already know the winner with 4 stages to go.

who is it? Cherel? Krujswijk? Carrara? Or someone else?

we should wait for an official anouncement about the result and standings

Edit: ah, okay, if it's really neutralized...

I think it doesn't. That's the opinion twitter. GE seems confident too, albasini has this in the bag imo.
Ofcourse, the only stage that could threaten him is gone.

What a horrible race :(

Albasini as GC winner.. my god

nice save you did

What's the weather like in Colombia at this time of year? I heard a while back that there was a chance of a world tour stage race there at some point in the next few years?

So the guys in the break didn't even get a chance to try to win the stage and they don't get time for the GC either? Hilarious. I'm sure they'll give their best in the next few stages.

To be fair the big teams should never have allowed the break to succeed on stage one anyway given that they knew there was a chance that today's stage could be shortened/cancelled.

This race will end up being worse than Eneco

I might be too harsh but after this year I could see this being cancelled due to lack of sponsorships etc. Hope its not, but the way it's going so far...
