That's a weird profile for the queen stage, it would be better ridden backwards. Should be funny though, no one really knows how that profile works out.

Cool to see the race back in a small part of Alentejo with that second-to-last stage.

WT team? Only Lampre could do it but I really doubt it, the race is too hard, too long and the calendar is too crowded at that part of the season. Besides what's the point of them showing up with guys like Feng, Pibernik, Zurlo, Cattaneo or Gang. Better bring in Androni and perhaps another italian profissional team.

A finish in Arruda dos Vinhos? Now that's odd.

Are you sure the CRI is not Alcácer - Setúbal instead of Vila Franca - Lisboa on the last day?

The Torre stage should be rather lame as there won't be any attacks until they reach Guarda.

I think it is Joni's for the taking.

My favourite race, I don't even know why. Maybe because I really like Portugal? One of the most beautiful countries I've been in. Especially Lisboa was great. Great nightlife there :)

I thought they were doing a Serra da Arrabida loop on the penultimate day, so may be multiple times over medium climbs, then that final day TT (at last that returns!). The queen stage profile almost certainly means more impetus on the Farinha MTF. If the Braga stage is anything like the one a couple of years ago with Sameiro right at the end that should be a great start to the race.

From this article it's: Alcácer -> Montemor-o-Novo -> Vendas Novas -> Pegões -> Arrábida -> Setúbal.

Looking at the roads available, after pegões they will probably do a circuit: setubal - arrábia - setubal.
It should make for some beautiful camera shots although I fear Arrabida won't make any impact on the top10.

the ITT is vila franca - lisboa. that's already confirmed I think.

I think that it was Gomes who confirmed it. To Avenida that's around 35kms. Veloso will smash this.

Gomes confirmed, the finish in Avenida da Liberdade? Because with the amount of road works taking place in Lisbon, I wouldn't be surprised if the finish lane would be at Parque das Nações, with a IYY coming from north.
And with the end there, it's gonna be around 24kms.

anyways, with so poor mountain stages, its designed to a new victory for Veloso (or Marque)

They are in contest for the ugliest profiles in the calendar! But the stages look good

Yuck! Those profiles are disgusting. Defninitely they belong to the worst profiles thread. And why is this thread not in clinic? It's definitely better suited there than in PRR ;) . Better prepare parachutes, heights will reach exosphere.
