Because he is older and he understand it.rm7 said:Escarabajo said:People are reading too much out of these early performances. Contador is probably taking a different approach and I don't blame him. Why would he take a different approach from the spring peak in march and then super peak at the Tour?
He's usually a lot better than this in his first race. Doesn't think he'll do a "super peak" for the Tour like Armstrong/Nibali.

From weeks of babbling about AC's inevitable crushing of all before him, to immediate doom and gloom because he lost twenty seconds in a race that is both meaningless to a rider with his palmares and also his first of the season. Does supporting the man cause bipolar disorder?
Really I have no idea what you're talking about.Zinoviev Letter said:Some of the Contador fans here are more entertaining than they intend to be. Just like in 2013 and 2015, just a different approach and he'll be great at the Tour anyway?Escarabajo said:People are reading too much out of these early performances. We can speculate as much as we want but there is only 1 fact: he was 20th and lost time to virtually all GC favorites and also to several riders he should always beat uphillpink_jersey said:I think AC was cooked because he stayed too much in wind...

There are 3 types of fans:
Miburo type "OMG he'll crush everyone" "Lol he's so bad he'll be even worse than in 2013"

Normal fan "Let's see what he can do" "Hmm not so good after all"
Me type "Really not sure what to expect but he looks good but I really don't know but maybe he will be great but he could be bad as well" "Oh he's really bad that is so disappointing, he's always strong in his first race so this is a really bad sign
"
Edit: oh and there's a 4th type, the arvc4 type - "he'll be great" "he lost loads of time but he'll still be great and everyone who thinks otherwise is thick".
I've followed him for long enough to know what I can expect based on a result. In 2013 and 2015 I kept on believing until the very end that he would come into form when it mattered yet it didn't happen.arvc40 said:Defo thick if you judge a season on 1 Stage in February.

He is exactly the same as last year. Average at TDU and then good in Algarve. The lack of Lopez and Kwiatkowski could make things very difficult for him if he takes the lead tomorrow.

I'll wait to see what he can do tomorrow in the ITT. Don't have high hopes.Red Rick said:LaFlorecita said:I've followed him for long enough to know what I can expect based on a result. Flo, at least give him enough credit to keep having hope for more than 2 stages will ya. This result is too crappy to just be explained by bad form, which is a good thing in itself, if I make sense
