I would love to see the version of this race where the rules are enforced by the book!By the rules, the lot of them should be DQd for taking a shortcut and not racing the parcours.
As a portuguese man, I'm ashamed for what our country delivered to the world.
Sorry...
By the rules of the sport, it's the responsibility of the riders to know the course. But like in Itzulia 2019, they will probably get the same time. Would be funny if they didn't though.
You would suggest that's not the best course of action? But it's UCI, so everyone on s.t. seems more plausible.
No, I am suggesting that UCI never follows its own rules. You would suggest that's not the best course of action?
so i guess we can expect all of the world tour teams to leave the race tomorrow?
20s penalty it is.Best course of action in my opinion? Everyone on s.t., Roglic DSQ.
If someone had been crossing the road in the first 100 or even 200 metres after the deviation, it would have been a disaster even if everyone had realised immediately. It is very much #1 in this case. It's obviously #2, but the sheep are gonna be crying about #1.
How does anyone take the right road if there's no signaling. If someone had been crossing the road in the first 100 or even 200 metres after the deviation, it would have been a disaster even if everyone had realised immediately. It is very much #1 in this case.
For my friends, everything; for my enemies, the law.I would love to see the version of this race where the rules are enforced by the book!
Just 10% of riders actually bothering to read the road book seems about right. How does anyone take the right road if there's no signaling.
There was a man pointing with his finger (ridiculous, I know). How does anyone take the right road if there's no signaling.
Your country has given us the best finish to a cycling race, ever! Don't feel ashamed, celebrate it!As a portuguese man, I'm ashamed for what our country delivered to the world.
Sorry...
I'd rather they used some judgement than blindly followed the rules. Would be rather silly to DQ a vast part of the field. No, I am suggesting that UCI never follows its own rules.
Just 10% of riders actually bothering to read the road book seems about right.
In all seriousness, from the replay it seemed that one guy started frantically signaling once the first riders went the wrong way.
