If Roglic cooperated, he would probably have taken 5 extra seconds and an extra stage win, but granted this was more fun to watch.
I don't think so. Remco was a monster today, he was stronger. If Rogla cooperated I think he would have lost the stage win to Remco and also put himself in danger of losing seconds by not being able to follow a Remco attack on false flat. Tomorrow will be fun.

Fantastic from Remco but as frustrating as it was to watch you have to acknowledge that it was smart from Roglic to react immediately and just sit on rather than either trying to use his team to control the gap or swapping turns as a duo.

Worst finish camera work I can ever imagine for a world tour race, pure amateur hour.

If Remco was to win tomorrow without a time gap and Roglic out of the bonus seconds how many positions would there need to be between him and Roglic for the jersey to change hands.

And the same would go for Roglic. He can TT as well.
did u read my post?

i said it will be different IF remco takes time in the TT.

of course, rog may do very well in those too. but going on today, i doubt very much that remco won't take time out of rog. and that will change the race completely from what we have here.

The first step in Remco's furor today was getting nipped by Rog in the first bonus sprint. That must have released the Kraken.

But we are riding Catalunya now, not the Giro. Both want to win this race.

Knowing that the great champion didn't even dare to take a half-assed pull on pedaling descend is mind boggling. How scared can you be
It's not so clear that Roglic couldn't have gained more by working with him.
Some of you seem to be missing that Remco was attacking and putting pressure on…Roglic. Why would you attack someone and expect them to cooperate? There is no third party ahead or even a few seconds behind that could plausibly beat them tomorrow. They are solely racing each other.

Because Roglic had a good chance of gaining another, what was it, 5(?) seconds on Evenepoel, now he ended up losing 1.

It’s not about daring - it’s about wanting. He didn’t want to take a turn. Why should he take a turn and cooperate with the guy who’s only goal is to beat him. I mean really - what kind of logic do you even use? What would he gain if he worked with Remco? Why would he do that?

Evenepoel is really strong but he still needs to learn to loose. He can play the same game with Roglic at other races if he is doing better time trials.
Does he think the others a stupid? But fun to watch because Evenepoel is fueld a bit by rage in his racing.
