It's real this time, Landa means business. You can't fake on what happened in previous two stages.
Why do you think FreeLanda movement started in the first place? Probably not because he was being like the last couple of years… Maybe some guys just can’t handle responsibility or expectations and function better when they perceive themselves as doms? Lands has had many chances and there’s really no reason to believe he wouldn’t implode when the *** hits the fan as he always has. That being said, I wouldn’t hamper his chances if I was team boss just in case a miracle happens this time around. But my money would be on “it won’t”.

You are getting too predictable. At least put in some effort to mix it up if you want to keep people's attention. Like, why not send Roglic to the fish factory, Evenepoel skijumping and i can see Vingegaard with his manly physique as an ideal defensive midfielder.
Roglic in a fish factory? I can totally see him blending in🤣

It's different this time, SOQ seems like perfect fit for Landa. On top of that Landa is doing two GTs this year so i don't see on why leadership should be an issue.

I don’t think there’s a sane person on this board who forgot all about Tirreno 2022 and P-N 2023 and how Pog’s dominance in those races translated to his TDF outcome. So I agree with the part you can’t just extrapolate the current pecking order to TDF. This, however, doesn’t make Pog’s achievements at this stage any less valuable. They would be if he sacrificed his TDF form to get an edge in Catanulya but I doubt that is the case. TDF may tell a different story but for the time being, Pog’s form this season is remarkable.
Pog's form this season is remarkable.... ? As it was last year. We've seen the result in the Tour. That was certainly not solely due to his wrist problem. Because after Liège, Poga would have taken a rest period anyway. Initially it seemed that Poga would handle his spring better this year, by not riding Flanders, among other things. But by first riding the Giro with all the preparation necessary for this, he again compromises his chances for the Tour. While he is already prone to breakdowns.

I therefore do not see why he would do better in the second half of the Tour than Roglic, Evenepoel, a few others and even his teammates Ayuso and Yates. While he is potentially (much) better.

Remco will be a fantastic domestique for Landa at the Tour!
Landa is a good rider...... but not a winner. Evenepoel is. Moreover, even by regularly finishing well in the mountains, Landa cannot finish high in the Tour. On the flat, in echelons, but certainly in time trial, Landa loses too much time.

So, Landa will be the ideal domestique for Evenepoel.

Of course he can finish high in the Tour, he has done that several times.

Surely even the biggest Landa fans and biggest Remco detractors are trolling to suggest a leadership battle between the two in July. It's unlikely, but Remco could win the Tour (even without the favourites crashing out), whilst Landa maybe could sneak into the top 5. Landa should be semi protected, which means he doesn't work unless he has to work for Remco, but if in doubt he 100% switches into domestique mode (whilst Remco is still in some sort of contention of course).

It isn’t remarkable? What do you call Strade Bianche then? Slightly above average?

You are using last year’s Tour to assess his current performance which is wrong in itself, but more importantly, your idea of taking a rest period is completely wrong…

Strade had 30km extra, other than that it was copy/paste from his last win. Not the best opponents either. That said it was a beastly performance, but 2023 pogi would have done the same. The race fits him like a glove.

What do we think the best possible result for Landa is this season? Some GT stage wins? A GC podium?
Best of the rest on some mountain finishes and stage wins in tour of alps type races
Just witnessed it
enough to fan the flames of hope

Just as likely is dropping before Jorgenson and Berg in tour stages
