I really hope they'll do split screens, where one of them will be delayed, so it will look like two riders started at the same time. It was done shortly at the Giro '11 MTT between Nibali and Scarponi, so one could easily see where they took time on each others, and how they took the corners.
I would especially like to see it between Froome and Contador :) (or maybe even a quadruple screen between the four gc guys)

If someone wants to get rich bet on Tiago Machado for win @351.00
Not the first time you say that this year...are you rich yet?

I guess not, since Machado has zero victories :D

Hitch posted a transcript here yesterday.

Speaking of Contador's Annecy stage win, Schleck finished 21st in that TT, that is a ridiculously good result for andy in a gt time trial, why hasn't he been able to get back to even close to this level in the 2010 and 2011 TDF?

That's actually par for Andy at the end of a GT, although the time gaps were small that day.

Didn't he finish around the 40s in 2010, I don't recall his 2011 result

Indeed, that TT was rather strange and time gaps were unusally small that day.

The 2010 result doesn't tell you anything, since the wind picked up in the afternoon and actually Andy did one of the better TTs of the GC guys. In 2011 he also finished in the top-20. Andy is just a decent end-of-GT time trial guy, more or less at Nibali's and Kreuziger's level.

Too lazy, and to many cruises with Stuie perhaps?

And it helps if there is a climb! This year he would probably have done ok in the first ITT too, not sure about the last one in spite of his recuperation.

Yay he finished 17th in 2011, an even better result than 09,

Anyhow getting back to the thread Nico Roche to finish top 20 in this TT :D

Haha, that's funny! Who elses qualities did they name?

Contador: To climb like Pantani
Froome: To sprint like Cav.

As theyoungest says, Bertie wants Lance's determination.
For Froome, again it was Jen's aggression.

I see that the Hitch posted a transcript, yesterday.

Gesink should do well, but won't compete with the best. Actually if he rides a top10 it would be fantastic since he never really rode a great TT in an GC.
If Gesink doesn't top-10 here, it's disappointing, given his recent results in TTs. Certainly because he has a GC position to defend (which he didn't have in his last time trials in a GT).

Isnt this time trial a good copy of the one in Switzerland this year ?
Yeah, maybe it is, that one was hilly and technical as well, and the Pfannenstiel is also quite a long climb

There seems to be some confusion about the route.
Apparently there are two ways to descent the climb. One is very technical, the other one rather straight.
Hohwever, the technical one is longer and would make this a 42,5km TT.
If they use the straight one, it's the 39,4km as it says in the official road book.
However, several riders have pointed out that the downhill is very technical.
Steephill ha sthe longer version

Velowire the shorter one

So which one is the corect one?:confused:
