Ouch, so this is further proof of the fact there's no such thing as a preparation race in the 2021 peloton.
Everyone is full gas & crashes happen way too often now for this to be "coincidental", i.e. this is the last thing Ineos wanted 11 days before the Vuelta but races these days seem to turn into meat grinders more often than not & the question regarding "who" survives is mostly a matter of luck.

His form is not that good yet, there will be stronger riders like Bardet.
Even if Landa's form was good, this is a descent finish. There's the chance for him not being alone and losing the sprint.
