Last win for Romain Bardet was Classic de l'Ardeche in February 2018!
And he has no pro wins outside of France.

^^this has always been my complaint about Romain, whom I really like, is that he just doesn't win that often. Today he rode like I always hope him to do -- attacking, but at the right time. A descent finish is perfect for him.

I suspect a lot of the other Vuelta favorites were hanging back or still rounding into shape; Picon Blanco looked like a nasty piece of work if you weren't prepared to have to go deep...

Spanish commentators say Pozzovivo was involved in the crash with 6-7km to go. If he's distanced Aru gets in podium position.

They weren't caught by Norway - or the guys racing in Norway didn't finish before them.
But I have no idea who won.

That was an interesting sprint... wouldn't say disorganized or chaotic, but certainly mano a mano a mano...
Congrats to Molano for doubling up.

Nice landscape throughout the stage.

According to Molano UAE was working for Trentin, but when he saw that Aberasturi was faster he decided to go for it.

Pozzovivo has suffered a knee fracture and had to pull out of the race. No Vuelta for him, the guy can't catch a break. Look at the amount of serious injuries that he has had since 2015.

It is quite incredible, also the way he came back to his level after all these injuries. Hopefully it's not the end of an interesting career.
