has anyone else timed the last 10k, i have 26:00 for Schleck, what would be a very strong performance considering its the 3rd mtf in a row and that it was at the end of a hard stage.

no way near enough. He attacked about a week too late as far as im concerned.

Well he can still try his hardest, and maybe get awarded a podium, wouldnt be a bad season for Fränk to get Suisse and poduim at Vuelta when he crashed like he did in the Tour.

Remainder: JRod was 3rd in Tourmalet last July. He may be spent after a long season, but he's not a mountain sprinter.

Fortune favours the brave! Shame non were brave enough to attack Nibali a few Ks earlier!

Excellent domestique riding by Kreuziger - most of them didn't (couldn't) attack until he dropped.

The Spanish camera bias just ruined what little group action there was. Tosseurs.
Frank Schleck may be a lousy trialist, but, contrary to what DT would have us believe, is now looking good for a GT podium spot.
Mosquera is easily 2 minutes slower in a flat ITT.

Yep, lets see if Nibali can catch Mosquera during it. He probably will.

You mean Rodriguez?

3 minute gaps. You think he will make 3 mins on Purito?

If they started 5km earlier Nibali would have easily lost 1 to 2 minutes here.
I hereby declare the entire Vuelta field idiots.

Cgts to Nibali. He is going to win. This field lacks some aggresive mountain goats. With Anton gone there is no hope left.

Ever thought they want to do it, but simply don't have the legs?

On TV I never saw Purito attacking (though I might have missed it). I think Nibali just cracked and lost time to him, rather than Purito gaining time...

GC today was a bit dissapointing I guess. Kreuziger ofcourse did a very very good job defending Nibali today and that was the trap his competitors fell for. I think if one of them just made an attack it was bye bye Kreuziger.
Only to get rid of him would be a good idea, but no one had the balls, because Roman had a very high pace.

Besides that a very very nice win by Nieve. The happiness shining from his face is a nice view :)

Wednesday the ITT. How much time will Nibali take?

Schleck showed some improvement in his TT during the ToSuisse- so he could get closer to Nibali & Purito- I wouldn't count him off just yet...

Nico Roche up to fifth! He seems to be getting stronger, I hope he can keep it up.

And a decent gap behind him until Velits in sixth - very good ride by Roche. How well does he TT?

How can he catch Rodriguez? Rodriguez starts after him. And I think it is only 2 minutes gaps.

Eze is not good in the itt. I wouldn't be surprised if nibali did, tho nibali isn't the greatest ITT'r just a standout amongst the contenders.

Hoping rodriguez can do well in the itt. skeptical though.

Roche attacked first (tv didn't show). A minute later Mosquera attacked (tv showed, but late). Then after a while it seemed that Nibali cracked (tv didnt show) and then Purito went.
Belgian commentators gave that info during the stage, while the tv wasn't showing it...

Yes, thanks for showing the GC riders

Hopefully Nibali only gets a 1-2 minute lead after the TT, setting it up nicely for Saturday.

Shame we have to wait till Saturday and Bola for more excitement ( i wont find it exciting seeing Nibali gain time on everyone in the tt).

Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Also according to Sporza, Saturday's last mountain isn't that hard. So I wouldn't really count on big gaps there either.

nibali will get red by 1+ minute in the itt. i see shleck perfoming at his level and staying 2:16 behind. purito and mosquera will drop behind shleck. in the bola del mundo the race will be attacked very very early and nibali will lose a lot of time if he doesn't control his efforts. so my current favorites are nibali and SHLECK yes i am not ashamed to say it
