Had the Leekygas guys never tried a time trial puncture before??? Pathetic bike/wheel change..they looked like amateurs!

Hopefully this won't affect Nibalis rhythm...

At least the mechanic changed his battery for a fresh one at the same time...

Anybody have a clue as to the split times they are showing?
It seems Nibali is catching Roriguez, but has been caught and passed by Mosquera.

Nibali, top 10.
Schleck maybe top 25. Maybe.

That would be in equal conditions for everyone, of course. Which these conditions aren't. So it's a crapshoot.

OK, then I guess Purito could try and achieve something around 25th place too, considering he has the motivation of the red jersey on his shoulders...

After, obviously. And yes, Mosquera has never been good in a TT.

SO nibali actually did the first 1/3 about 30 seconds faster than Mosquera. Jeez hes going to lose minutes.

In a TT a front wheel change might be preferable to a bike change,

but all that should be planned out if going for the Jersey.

Sticking with the Primary bike typically preferable

Puncture.That's gonna break his rhythm.

And true to form, he's now going slower than both Mosquera and Rodríguez.

Although the last 15kms will suit him a lot more.

that means he made up ~40s

On the stage, not the GC.

Apparently the official info the commentators are getting in their computer from the Vuelta says Purito is losing over a minute to Nibali and they're freaking out because they don't know what to believe anymore.

This is La Vuelta......too much is confusing... (EDIT: Even the Spanish commentators call it "disastre!!")

It seems like the time in the bottom of the screen indicates the GC standing between Purito and Nibbles.

tailwind home also means more headwind in the first half... but tailwind in the home stretch is more favourable... still the amount of headwind is still about the same. It just makes timing worthless because some have had tailwind in the first half where they now have headwind...

Mosquera only 2 seconds behind Nibali, not 5

Considering Nibali lost 25 seconds, being 2 seconds behind Nibali is a bad bad performance for Mosquera.

Anybody have intermediate times for TD, Velits, Roche or Schlick?

Nibali and Tommy D at 1-35" at the 1st CP.
Velits under 1 minute
LLS at 1-16"
Tondo @ 1'17"
TJ v G @ 1-18"
Zeek at 2 seconds slower than Nibs.

Larsson in to third 38s after Menchov. He finished pretty much just as fast as Menchov but lost more in the start.

If Menchov was super lucky he had less of a headwind in the first half and all the advantage of the wind in the back the second part.

At least I think someone would have advantageous wind when it either changed direction (being from the side for Canc i suppose?) or started blowing.

Someone i think had wind form the side part of the time going out on the first half and then wind in the back the second. Does it make sense?

WTF. Schleck awesome at the check.

I give up on official info. It keeps contradicting itself. I'll see the times at the finish.
